Luxury Ocean View 2 Bed Apartment 259 Eden on the Bay, Blouberg, Cape Town

Super location. The apartment is spacious, newly appointed, modern and clean.

The extractor fans in the bathrooms are on 24/7 and do not turn off when the lights are turned off. If you battle to sleep like I do, this is not the apartment for you. When this was questioned, we were told that this is the design of the building and nothing could be done. We have never been in an apartment with a constant noise like this.

The location is phenomenal - right by the beach and close to the shops and restaurants. Extremely convenient to get around anywhere in the area and the view is a bonus. The apartment is spacious and well furnished.

1. Check-in: The attendant from the rental agency was informed of our arrival, yet we had to wait for 30+ minutes to receive the key. He arrived intoxicated and requested we pay a higher breakage fee than indicated in the listing, which he then tried to brush off as a joke (not funny). 2. Cleanliness: The shower stalls didn't look like they were cleaned, which the agency employee brushed off. The washing machine was moldy on the inside with someone's underwear still in it. We informed the agency, but couldn't agree on a time to send a cleaner (this is a miss on both sides, I admit) 3. Noise: The bathroom fans were constantly on - day and night. There was no switch to turn them off and when asked were not provided information how to turn them off. 4. Check-out: Again, we agreed with the agent when to collect the key. After 15 mins, I called him and he informed his colleague will arrive shortly. When she arrived, she didn't know anything about the deposit we paid. The original agent arrived to hand the money, but questioned if we even paid in cash as it wasn't on record. Overall, the apartment is lovely, but this truly impacted our stay.

The property was very nice and secure with the perfect location near a shopping center, restaurants and the beach. The beds were comfortable and the showers were great.

The apartment smelled musty upon entering. This improved once we opened the windows to let in some fresh air.

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was unbeatable — just steps from the beach with breathtaking ocean views. We live in a seaside town, so we weren't expecting to be blown away, but we were. The location and convenience of the shops and restaurants were wonderful. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. There were lovely coastal touches throughout, and the space was bright and airy. Our host was warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. We’d definitely return for another peaceful seaside escape. Highly recommended!

A Few Minor Downsides that can be easily fixed. While we really enjoyed our stay, there were a couple of things that could be improved. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Also, there was no covered area for braaing, especially during the heavy rain we experienced. Unfortunately, the balcony flooded during the downpour, which limited our use of the outdoor space. Other than that, everything else was lovely, and we had a great time overall.

Beautifully kept and well maintained

The apartment was clean. A washer and dryer were available. Close to restaurants and shops.

The bed felt cheap and very noisy. WD40 will probably do the trick. When it rains, there is no shelter from the rain from the lift to the front door of the apartment.

Great modern property, clean, and in perfect location to shops, beach and entertainment!
