Bijou Merchant City Apartment with Parking (Albion 1)

Property was changed on day of rental to one 200m away. New property was basic with opaque double glazing, no lighting in common stairwell. Generally not homely. Required 2 prompts for deposit to be returned. Price very high.

Location was great and parking

Upgraded on apartment paid for. First time booking here; very good, friendly communication and clear instructions to follow. Everything I required for my stay was provided: toiletries, towels, etc. Really nice apartment with loads of space. Kitchen well laid out with all appliances you need. Nice touch: electric monitor in the kitchen showing how much electricity you are using. Free WiFi available but not used. Location is convenient, not far from amenities, shops, pubs, and close to Central Station.

An instruction card left at the property clearly indicating what should be turned off or left on, and where these controls are located, would be very helpful for when you leave the property.

Very nice and clean, very good location with great restaurants and bars, very helpful host, I will definitely be back to this home

At first the entrance of building felt complicate but it's very safe

Booked the property as it was on the ground floor and accessible, the host contacted me to say they had upgraded me to a better apartment. Said as it was one 2nd floor it was no good. But was told the one I had booked was not available, I ended up cancelling the booking but host refuses to refund me even though they advised the property i booked wasn't available. Stay away from this host as they are unreliable and unfair

De omgeving was goed, midden in het centrum

De hygiene; beddengoed/dekens waren verfrommeld, niet opgevouwen, in de kast geduwd. Er lagen dode bloemen in de vaas op de vensterbank. De schilderijen hingen scheef. De bank oogde niet schoon. De badkamer: de douche deed het niet goed. Er kwam geen warm water uit de wastafelkraan in de badkamer. Ik moest met koud water scheren en tanden poetsen. Er was geen toiletpapier. De onderwand van de badkamer was los. De tv in de woonkamer deed het niet of niet goed. En verder: de verwarming was middels simpele kleine electrische kachels die het niet altijd goed deden.

Apartment was ok in good location

When arrived apartment was freezing and we had no hot water through taps for 2 days

The location was excellent. Short walk to shops and restaurants.

We booked the apartment at short notice as our sons were staying in another apartment in block 4 and we wanted to be near by. We felt the price was extremely high (we paid £361 for a 1-bedroom apartment and our sons paid £240 for a 2-bedroom apartment) but decided to book as we hoped it to be a good standard. We were unfortunately extremely disappointed with the condition of the property. Upon arrival, we found the property to be unclean and in need of significant maintenance. The cleanliness issues we encountered included dirty windows in the bathroom, kitchen and living area; an old toothbrush and lots of dirt down the right hand side of the sink in the bathroom; dust on top of the intercom; mould around the bath; a dirty mattress; a beer bottle under the bed which had been left by one of the previous occupants. General maintenance issues - walls were covered in marks and need painting; old picture hooks left in walls where a painting was rehung; burst cushion cover in living room; parts missing from the sink in the kitchen, freeview box did not work; marks on the radiators and broken panelling on the bath. Given the price we paid for our stay, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and maintenance. The rates charged were in no way reflective of the actual conditions of the property, leading us to feel that we did not receive the value we anticipated. We contacted the owners who said they appreciated our feedback. We would, however, have expected to be recompensed due to the issues with the property.

I liked the location of the Apartment it was good for local restaurants and bars.

The apartment was really clean and had all the amenities there.
