RiverSide Suite - Haarlem City Centre

The room was lovely and the host gave us a drink and biscuits/chocolates on arrival. There was also fruit, water, beer and wine provided free of charge.

The only thing I would change were the steep windy stairs up to the room.

Для нас это не было проблемой, но для людей менее подготовленных и с более тяжёлыми чемоданами узкая лестница на второй этаж может быть проблемой. Впрочем, Моника готова помочь, если нужно.

We stayed at the RiverSIde Suite for 8 wonderful nights and LOVED it. Monique is an exemplary host! She is kind, helpful and always available for any type of question. She even helped with our luggage up and down the stairs. The studio was super clean, comfortable and cozy for our stay in December. The bed was comfy with choice of pillows. The little kitchen area is thoughtfully laid out and easy to use. Great for pizza, sandwiches and breakfast in (since we had yoghurt and granola we did not opt for the prepared breakfast Monique would provide for an additional fee). The bathroom is lovely and warm with a register in it for heat. Great easy to use European shower with endless hot water The view from the front and back is delightful. Noise was not an issue at all. The location of the studio/suite is phenomenal. About a 7min walk to Haarlem Centraal train station where we enjoyed day trips to Amsterdam (15 min ride and so easy), den Haag (Maurithuis), Leiden (University town) and den Bosch (Hieronymus Bosch’s hometown!). Spent 2 days in lovely Haarlem. Great museums, St. Bavo and far from the Amsterdam crowds. Lovely shops that are not tourist traps. When we come back to the Netherlands we would definitely want to stay here and use this special place as a launchpad to see more of the Netherlands.

We loved it! Stairs steep but would not trade staying here with staying in a big hotel with big steps. No way.

Monique was very kind and her place was magical. We did’t want to leave and we definitely will be back.

Nothing! At first I thought there might be noise from the street, but no, it was very quiet. Haarlem is lovely and very calm place.

We came with our 6 month old baby and will definitely be back. Excellent location, Monique was a stand out host with a real eye for detail. There were so many beautiful and thoughtful touches, like drinks in the fridge, fresh fruit and tea on arrival. She made our stay very comfortable and easy. Also wonderful to get a taste of an old Dutch building with historic features.

Great location, amazing views, very comfortable bed and bedding, spacious and modern shower. We loved the place. Very unique and charming. Little kitchenette to prepare a meal if needed. Lots of dishes and glassware. Everything designed with such a unique touch. Excellent recommendations from the host about different restaurants and things to do. Monique was prompt with communication and very hospitable. We loved it and highly recommend. Haarlem has so much to offer!
