RiverSide Suite - Haarlem City Centre

The location was wonderful. The host was very friendly and so thoughtful. The view from the room exceeded my expectations. The Suite was very well decorated. It was the absolute cutest place we stayed on our vacation.

Only negative was the pillows could have been a bit more comfortable and it was hard to get our largest piece of luggage up the steep stairway. That being said, we would still absolutely stay there again.

Monique’s creative personable touch, with little surprise delights along the way, is simply priceless. Makes your heart leap with joy and gratitude to be appreciated this much. Just wow. Thank you, Monique! Property is located nearly across the street from the police station. As a solo traveler, I felt super safe! Despite being at the heart of Haarlem, it was wonderfully quiet and serene. Super bonus that it’s only 13 min walk to the bus & train station! Don’t underestimate the shower - it is so very pleasant!! Nothing like an amazing long hot shower on a chilly day! Also don’t let the stairs scare you! Steep and narrow as they are, I got my monster suitcase up (thanks to Monique’s help!), and getting it back down was a breeze! I have so much more to explore here and can’t wait to be back!

We loved our stay here, we wish it was longer. The suite is beautiful, well furnished. Comfortable bed, nice view of the canal and windmill. Portacot was provided for our baby. There’s no kitchen, but still has everything you’d need if you wanted to prepare your own food (utensils, hot plate, microwave etc.) The breakfast was amazing!! €14 each, but a beautiful spread of fresh food. Definitely recommend. It’s a very short walk to the centre of Haarlem, such a good location.

The Riverside Suite is spacious with a great view over a canal with a windmill. Easy walk to town with lots of places to explore, eat, drink and shop. The train station is close by for a quick 15 minute ride into Amsterdam. Monique is very friendly & an excellent host with lots of thoughtful touches and was flexible with our travel arrangements. Haarlem is a beautiful town and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Location in Haarlem was perfect. Apartment was beautifully decorated. Monique was so welcoming and generous. View was gorgeous. Private outdoor area.

Having to leave

Monique greeted us with a warm welcome and a lovely refreshing cold beer. The accommodation was delightfully furnished with Monique’s design style throughout. Lovely view of the windmill and water to the front and a private sunny balcony at the back. Very close to the town centre and the train station.

Wonderful welcome from Monique! Perfect location. Loved having the balcony for morning coffees. Coffee, tea, juice, shampoo, handwash were all available.

There is no lock on the door to the apartment.
