Apartment Dolores

So, where to begin... We often here saying.. As it used to be.. This place is sort of magical. Mrs Dolores is, hm, adorable, kind, smiling, warm, welcoming and all the Positive Words that one can imagine. Acceptance, welcome drink, welcome Word on welcome.. This is how the tourism should be. She has it all and more.. Not mentioning that everything is spotless clean, kitchen equiped with all the amanities.. Magical..

The location is great as it’s a few minutes walk down a hill to the town with many bars and restaurants. Also there is a covered parking space which is a real bonus in a popular place like Opatija (parking is also quite expensive). This traditional apartment is located in a mainly residential area and is like being ‘home from home’. It has absolutely everything (and a few extras) you would need for a holiday, including a washing machine. There is a little terrace at the front where you can have breakfast on a sunny morning or a chilled glass of wine in the evening. David was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of information about the local area and its surroundings.

A fabulous host with a room with a fantastic attention to detail. We will definitely come back for longer.

The host is very nice and offered us all kinds of fruit, milk and even wine. The location is quite near to beach, restaurant, supermarket and garden. The parking is easy. We had a wonderful stay there.

Dolores apartment is some hundred meters from the centre, in a quiet location. The level of accomodation is is exceptionell. There was beer in the fridge, fruits on the table, everything what you will - or will not - need in the bathroom. David, the host knows about everything - what is happening, where to go, what to see - and have a special knowledge (and talent) to tell all these to the guests. We have never been in such a place.

Quaint apartment in the hillside. With everything you need to settle in. Lovely patio area to relax. David and Delores were wonderful hosts.

Good location. Very friendly and caring host. Standard of Apartment is very good. I can strongly recommend Apartment Dolores!

The owner was super friendly and welcoming! The apartment was of a perfect size for two people. It was clean and well kept, and overall homely. There was also complementary snacks, coffee, wine, beer, etc. which we enjoyed! The location is convenient with just a short walk to Opatija center and a 20-30 min walk to Volosko.

The water blender to the shower is currently broken so you either get scorching or freezing water, so the shower was almost impossible to use. Also the blinders for the windows are old and are falling apart. We have informed the owners of all this, so I expect this to be fixed shortly though!

The owner welcomed us with a refrigerator full of drinks, including juices, beer, and wine. A basket full of fruits. The apartment had a bed, a full sized table, a complete kitchen, a comfortable bathroom, and even a washing machine. Games and books were also available. It was located on ground flour with entrance directly from the street. The place very quiet. It is few blocks from a supermarket. A parking lot is available 20m from the apartment.

As usual in many cities in Croatia, walking around requires going down and up, and stairs. Also it is a little challenging to drive on the streets (curves, slopes, narrow streets). But all this nothing to do with the apartment itself.
