Luigi's apartment

We loved our stay here. The location is lovely and quiet, while still being close to town. The view of the city lights in the evening is beautiful. The apartment itself if very comfortable and well equipped. We appreciated the thoughtful touch of the heater being on when we arrived as it was a really cold night, but the apartment was lovely and warm on arrival. We also appreciated the fact it was dog friendly and there were even welcome treats for our fur baby! We have already booked to stay again and would recommend to others.

Luigi was very friendly and helpful.

There was no stove or oven. There are no powerpoints in the bathroom or bedroom. There are no bedside tables or lamps in the bedroom. There was no laundry, just a washing machine in an open space on the back verandah. The apartment is part of his house. We found the description to be very misleading.

Heerlijk huis op een perfecte locatie met uitzicht op het meer. Het huis is niet splinternieuw maar dit maakt het authentiek en geeft het huiselijke welkome gevoel. De tuin is heerlijk. We hadden nog wel langer willen blijven.

Excellent location

no eggslice. only 1 b&b plate. no power point in bathroom. no extractor fan in toilet/bathroom. no towel rails in bathroom. no daily towel exchange or spares. no bedside cabinets or reading lights in bedroom. no entertainment facility, tv or radio.

Location was good, in-between lots of tourist sites. Clear instructions to find property and nice recommendations. Comfortable size for two people.

The property is far too small for three adults really - you have to put back the sofa bed each morning and remake it each evening to be able to leave the property (would be considered fire hazard in UK as no clear exit when bed is out), and once it's out there isn't enough room to use the table and very little room to put clothes/cases for three. Microwave height would be considered unsafe in UK. Some little touches could make this a lot more comfortable - e.g bedside tables, a bin in the bathroom (more hygenic for sanitary products) and bathroom hooks/rails for towels etc. DVDs mentioned in ad but none in property (or anything to watch them on).

Luigis apartment is wonderfil. The property is beautiful and there is lovely patio space. Lovely view as well. Luigi went out of his way for us - gave us a a very complete list of things to do in Rotorua. Can't recommend this place enoughy.
