"Very charming and welcoming place"

9.0

It was very charming and quiet, well situated. The place was clean and Michelle was very welcoming.

It might have been because of the wood stove or the way the building is made, but we had to open the windows often to air out the place. Personally we felt there was a kind of musty smell, but others might not be affected or bothered by it.

"Decent but not memorable in a good way"

5.0

Nice interior mix of textures and materials.

Advertised as a B&B. Really only has the first B. There was a jar of muesli and some tea and coffee packets with a pint of milk in the fridge. Heat was externally controlled on a timer. Left several texts to the host, none replied to.

"Quaint comfortable with added extras- including a pleasant view"

10.0

We loved everything - best place we stayed on our Speyside trip. Extra length bed was an absolute bonus too. Kitchen facilities perfect & so useful to have use of extras like cooking oil & spices / coffee etc. Hostess very friendly & helpful when we arrived. Would highly recommend this lovely place.

"Definition of Cozy"

10.0

The word "cozy" in the dictionary should have a picture of this hideaway next to it. From the bed to the kitchen facilities to the shower to the "welcome dram", this stay was the best of our 19 day tour through The Netherlands and Scotland. Some pics misrepresent a room. Theirs doesn't do it justice.

"Beautiful little house at the edge of Aberlour village"

10.0

We couldn't initially find the spot, but the host met us at the road. She was very friendly and was able to advise and give input on our visiting options in the area. Any subsequent questions around taxis, etc. were also promptly answered. One evening we forgot the car window open while we were out and about, and the host was so kind and thoughtful to notify us, and to cover up the opening with a towel to prevent the car from getting wet from the rain! The accommodation is located right at the edge of Aberlour village, with several distilleries and woolmills in the area. It's a little house built in a shed, extremely nicely furnished and with all comforts. We had a little stove we could also light for heating and coziness (but we found the radiators sufficient), a tv with a collection of DVDs at the ready, a very warm and comfortable bed, and a beautiful and clean bathroom. There is also a small furnished kitchen that can be used to have breakfast or prepare a meal. Tha parking was right at the house, in the back yard, away from the road.

A little remote from the main part of the village, but perfectly walkable distance. Easy to reach by car, though!
