The Barn | Aberlour

The barn is stunning. The owners have done an amazing job with this conversion! It is very cosy and has such lovely decor. There were also little extras and treats all over the place. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and peaceful little flat.

Unfortunately, the mattress is very worn and soft and we ended up with bad back pain.

Cosy and clean. The weather was cool and we really enjoyed the wood stove.

No complaints about anything

The property is in excellent condition, well refurbished and with wood as the dominant element. It’s cozy and ideal for a wee trip to the Highlands. It’s also in an ideal location, with the village within walking distance. The host Michelle was extremely helpful. Everything had been taken care of, to the last small detail. From the shampoo to the tea sweetener. Looking forward to my next trip there!

The accommodation is a renovated farm building set next to open countryside on the outskirts of Aberlour. The renovation has been skillfully done using recycled materials locally sourced.. As a result it is a comfortable, quirky and unique Speyside property with lots of character which made our stay here both enjoyable and memorable. Loved the whisky theme with use off barrels, you knew when you woke up you were in the heart of Speyside. Loved the book showing how the renovation to the building was carried out, absolutely outstanding.

There was nothing I didn't like and to be honest I couldn't even think on anything that could be improved. I think it is quite unusual to come across a property so imaginatively finished that totally represents the area the property is set in.

Fabulous quirky converted barn. Super comfortable with everything you need for a stay, Host Michelle, was great!
