Stylish Studio in the Heart of the City

The lock on the door took a couple of attempts but was fine in the end.

The name of the place is a misnomer. It's not THE Iconic, but rather AN Iconic and Central Apartment. Once you appreciate that, everything else makes sense. The codes were communicated punctually, but had some hitches. Phone support seemed unsure and online support had some lag, however we managed to arrive, get in and enjoy our stay. The hose that connects the shower head to the water supply needs an adjustment. As a mounted shower, it cannot be focused in the correct direction, but as a handheld shower it worked fine.

Location was great, except for the noise due to early garbage truck passing through each morning and general noise outside which is to be expected,I guess, in a city.

Noise from outside, kitchen tap was barely a trickle, toilet seat broken, no toiletries provided even though was listed as provided, no where to sit for meals, except couch, carpark locked til 9am on weekends and public holidays....this should have been explained, sounds like a lot of complaints even though the accommodation was mostly great. No staff seen by us anywhere, everything was automated.

The location was very central. The place was very cute. Perfect for a couple. A little tight for 3 people.

The location close to a supermarket made it so that it was very noisy early in the mornings.

Pretty good and comfortable stay, near to the CBD, all attractions nearby.

The location was great, very central

The owners were aware that the sauna did not work yet still used it as an attractive selling point (false advertising). It was evidently used as a storage point for old unhinged doors and hasn’t been used for some time. There was a spa, except there were only half the headrests and the bolts were sticking out where the missing head rests were. It did not look very inviting. There was black/red mould along the toilet rim. The dish sponge was old and had been used by previous visitors- very unhygienic. One toilet roll was provided between two adults for almost 4 days, as well as a single face washer for us both to share. No hand towels or tea towels were provided to dry hands after doing dishes. And we only had access to a single towel each and I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t necessarily want to dry my dishwater hands on the towel that I dry my body with. The owners did acknowledge that they were aware of the sauna not working and offered to reimburse the fee to use a sauna elsewhere as I booked the property solely with the intention to use the sauna for a weight cut as I had travelled for a powerlifting competition. I showed the owners the photo I had taken of the toilet and it was argued that it was not a toilet from their dwelling. I didn’t take photos of everything, however in hindsight, I should have. Whilst the location is very central, it’s filthy and false advertising. There are plenty of other central hotels that are clean. Wouldn’t waste your time, unless of course you like sharing old sponges with strangers, multi-purposing your bath towel as a tea towel and black mould in the toilet.
