Stag Cottage

Loved that we arrived to the property ready with keys awaiting on the table.. Was lovely and clean and quite and relaxing.. And loved seeing the horses..

Only thing i felt i missed was having a clock in the main room and bedroom..

Perfect location as wanted a quiet wkend away although near enough to walk to the village and local pubs. Really pretty cottage garden that was fenced and so secure for our dogs. Hosts were lovely and friendly but left us to it. Really appreciated fresh milk in the fridge and a bowl of home grown tomatoes. We will definitely book again.

Bit difficult accessing bathroom in the night if sleeping in the lounge

It's a home away from home, only it's much much more relaxing. Very quiet, very peaceful, just what I wanted. Phil and Kay are warm and welcoming, if you need anything they are around even if it's for a little chat. They also allow you the space and don't intrude on your stay, they feel like good neighbours.

There wasn't anything I didn't like, I enjoyed my stay. The only thing that was maybe missing to hit that 10/10 was probably the changes implemented, there's now no little hamper and you have to buy the egg's etc. This is minor stuff and the new owners are within their rights to make it cost-effective for them, I had an expectation going in based on feedback I viewed and that wasn't met 100% and that's my fault for presuming.

Room, location, food, all fantastic

I like that it is self contained and rural. Having the ability to make my own meals and spend the evenings in homely comfort

Excellent location! Peace and tranquility! Spacious and comfortable. Perfect place to get away from it all. Excellent kitchen facilities. Great night's sleep. We'll be back again.
