The SoMa Furnished Residences

We complained and we immediately got a response. The second suite was very nice and spacious.

It was a shame that the first place we were given looked nothing like the pictures online also wasn't as clean

The place we got had only 2 small windows , we felt like we were in jail

Kitchen, room

Room 206 was not prepared for guests, it was not cleaned after the previous guests. They offered room 203, the kitchen sink did not work. The next day we were in room 206.. We had to wake up 2-3 times during the night because the heating system was working very loudly. Cable TV had one news channel, on the third day the TV stopped working. Bed linen is not changed during the week, 2 towels per person. Toilet paper and kitchen towels must be bought separately.

The tv sound was not good. The smell

The cost was a decent price for what we got. We did like that there was free parking and there were all amenities available for us to cook.

There seems to be mild issues in shower. The corners of shower could have been cleaned a bit better. The location seemed not to be in the greatest neighborhood so we only drove everywhere with no walking around in the neighbourhood.

The fact that we did not have to spend more nights over there.

The furniture in the living room was falling apart, presence of cockroach in the apartment, broken remote controls, unavailability of staff to answer our concerns, locked out the apartment though we had the entrance code, no internet and tv cable, presence of hair on the beds, dirty and stains bedding

Location is not bad it’s close to stores and a short walk from cage park and the Hamilton general hospital.

The property could be a really nice place if they spent some money on it. make sure it is fully equipped so the person staying does not need to go out and buy basic kitchen equipment just to be able to cook a meal. Left over food left in the property and no fire alarm.

The beds were wonderful.

The unit has seen better days. Lumpy old couch covered with a furniture throw, curled carpets, door in closet off, no lights in stove fan, broken kitchen stool, ripped and old kitchen stool. But in defense of SoMo we have stayed prior in a different unit and it was exceptional.

Spacious.

We had almost no heat. Had to buy a space heater to get some warmth. No hot water at all! Kitchen short of some basic utensils and dishes. Up keep of place in general was lacking, (number small repairs needed).
