The hosts were amazing and the bed was so comfy!

When I told Chris that I was walking the South Downs Way, he arranged to meet me at the entrance to Heyshott, and even offered to drive me to the pub for an evening meal. The following morning he drove me back to the trail.

I found the storage jar for cereal quite difficult to open.

Great location very quiet beautiful background super friendly and helpful hosts Chris and Sarah their friends Tim and Hettie also looked after us , our dogs Della and Elsa loved the surroundings And we stayed with almost a week whilst Della our Labrador had spinal surgery with Noel Fitzpatrick Thank you for the Great Stay

We loved our stay at Long Hoyle Annexe. It’s an extremely comfortable, very private gem of an apartment that we were delighted to discover. There are gorgeous views, ( beautiful rare sheep breakfast outside your window ), a very well equipped kitchen, and a separate bathroom. It is utterly peaceful and Chris and Sarah are the most welcoming hosts you are ever likely to meet. We couldn’t recommend Long Hoyle Annexe more highly.

We loved everything about Long Hoyle.

Chris, the landlord, was very kind and helpful. On the day of arrival, we were biking on the Downs and soaked by the rain. Chris prepared an electric heating for us to dry our clothes and shoes. He also gave us plenty of food to have at the property. Without these helps, we would have to wait for food wet and cold; and we would have to wear wet shoes in the remaining two days of our journey (we biked all the way from Winchester to Eastbourne). Note all these helps are not part of the deal. Hence we are very grateful to Chris. To say one more thing: the other places I booked are all “smart” and unmanned, where such kindness and help would be impossible.
