Stylish modern Mews house in central St Leonards

Very central location but because it was in a little court yard it was very quiet. Lovely accommodation, comfortable beds, nice large lounge with comfortable sofas, warm as we stayed in winter this was important, modern and clean.

The property was very clean, and had all we needed for a comfortable stay.

Not so much didn’t like, but could have done with window dressings in the main living area that allowed sunlight into the room while still providing privacy as it faces onto a shared space. A good solution would be to have sheer under curtains with heavier over curtains to block the light when needed. Everything else was fabulous.

It is spaceous, there is enough room to sit and move around with 5 persons.

The bed piillows were a little flat and hard. A matter of taste, partly..

We arrived from St Leonards on Sea by train and easily found our way down to the little house. down the Kings Road.There are three others in the courtyard tucked up a side street about a hundred metres from the sea front. Doug was there and immediately helped us with the key and let us in. even though the key safe was easy to use. The place was spotless and everything we needed was there. Previous guests had left bits and pieces so check the cupboards before you start buying extras from the local co op. There are shampoos, soap, all condiments for the kitchen. Each room was well aired and felt clean. The beds were very comfortable. TV was easy to use. It was great to be so near the sea front and the map that was left helped us find our way around. There is a Boots at the end of the road, co op round the corner, post office, cash machine and a nationwide. There is a great little bakery down the road which opens at 7.30 a.m. We are in our late sixties but walked the whole length of the sea front to Old Hastings. Many cafes that way. The Goat Ledge is fun which makes you feel you are abroad. We walked the other way towards Bexhill and although a good walk there were few facilities that way. We would return if wanting a return trip. Thank you Doug for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely time at this property, it made our holiday complete. The property was very clean and tidy. The beds were excellent and so comfy. The kitchen was equipped well and had everything we needed. Altogether, a very charming little place.

Just a few suggestions. The duvet could do with being a bit thicker. We had to use the second duvet from down stairs as it was cold. Also there was no DVD player that was promised. That's it, everything else was great.

Fantastic location and an excellent host. Doug was very helpful and made great recommendations for things to do and places to eat.
