Apartamentos Basalto

We loved the kindness of the host who was very helpful. Super nice view and position close to the centre. The apartement was very clean, confortable and fully equiped (also salt, oli, whashing machine soap, paper, coffe..!!!) And the shower had a perfect water pressure. Super!

The location of the appartement is strategic, close to the swimming pools, city center, supermarket and the port. We stayed three but it has space for four. It has a terrace with a very nice view of the Faial island. Joao and Patrizia were there for any questions we had.

Good, clean place with a very friendly host that picked us up from the airport, gave us a small tour of the city and the neighborhood. 5-10 min walking distance from the marina and the city center. Shared terrace with killer sunset views. All amenities included along with private parking.

Unless you’re a *really* early bird, make sure to bring a pair of earplugs because there’s a loud rooster nesting in the yard next door, diligently working that 6:30 morning shift. The place has an AC installed in one of the bedrooms, but it’s pointed straight into the bed so it’s hard to imagine when would you actually use it. For that very reason when you run out of air during the night you’re bound to open the window, making the rooster calls all the more louder.

Joao was great to deal with to collect the keys and took time to show me around the apartment on check in. Having laundry available was great after a week of hiking. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The room was very spacious. It was also great to have on site parking (a rental car is needed). The location of the apartment is very convenient to the main area with restaurants and bars, but will not being impacted by any late night noise.

We just spent a night here. We were satisfied with the cleaning. The facilities were also ok. We had enough room as well. The location is good, just a few corners from the aupermarket and the ferry.
