rather central location in Ortigia

Big disappointment ! The owner was never available and never answered any of our messages by phone or email or sms. The place was closed with no information when we arrived as scheduled and we found by ourselves where to get the keys (at the nearby restaurant…). The apartment itself was humid, noisy and not very clean (we found mold and lots of body hair in the bathroom). Many of the pictures shown here are deceptive and show another apartment from the same owner. I give 1 star because of the rather central location in Ortigia and the young man at the restaurant who helped with our check in and car parking

Location is on coast with good views of the sea (looks like this area was fishermans streets in the past, and had historic vibe) Nice breakfast each day for very small fee (includes coffee, cakes, pastries, cereal , toast meats , fruit etc) Got reduction on price of group boat trip around Siracusa caves and around Ortigia etc. 10 minute walk into centre of Ortigia (very near Apollo Temple and markets there) Owner arranged to call taxi on our last day to Siracusa bus station, which arrived on time for our departure

Wifi limited in rooms, but could get wifi in adjoining fish restaurant (where breakfast served)

Very helpful and friendly. Small problem was sorted immediately. The owners also have a great restaurant with delicious local food

Great location down an archway leading into a narrow passage. Ideal sport for the markets, seafront and picturesque laneways which as yet are undeveloped. It felt like a living space for locals not just endless spruced up air bnb. Everything was a 5-10 minute walk away. Staff were very easygoing. Aircon was excellent and hot water plentiful. Milk, butter , spreads and breakfast crisp bread provided. Big open space for living. The space is part of a collection of apartments and bnb which my kids liked as it felt like “community” and safe. Noticed there was a wheelchair accessible ground floor apartment which is amazing!

My teen daughter felt the single beds were a little hard. It was the G7 agricultural conference at the time of our stay so many more people in ortigia than average. Many piazza featured agricultural machines and lots of stands. Along the west side of the harbour my son enjoyed the promo for military, civil police, search and rescue including a Lamborghini police car!We didn’t mind this -like a giant county fair however some tourists did miss the photo ops against the beautiful architecture. There was severe traffic congestion and lots of politicians which annoyed the locals.

Very spacious, fully equipped kitchen, had a washing machine and detergent supplied, fantastic location on Ortigia, it is walking distance to markets and all the sights. Staff were amazing, not much English spoken, but they managed to help us, especially with parking. We loved making our own appertivos and dinners in the little kitchen, with fresh foods from the market, at the end of long hot days. Great little buffet breakfast.

Wifi kept breaking down, which was a problem as we needed to work. Only 1 tiny window, so the apartment is very dark; we ended up leaving the shades on the main door open, which didn't feel great for privacy, although it was a very quiet alley way outside.

Location was perfect. Quiet, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The apartment was clean and tidy and we felt very safe. Hosts are lovely and very easy to communicate with.

Beds in bedroom two not very comfortable and hot water was a bit hit and miss (It was really hot in Ortigia so not a problem for us).
