The Middlewood - Luxury self contained retreat

I liked the space, the comfortable bed, the shower, the extra supplies, the ease of parking, the location and the connection with the host.

I just felt that there could be a small TV in the corner of the kitchen but I managed fine with my laptop.

Our second time stopping at this property as it is ideally placed for visiting Lyme, Tatton Park, Quarry Bank, and Dunham Massey. Secure gated parking, lovely kitchenette with all you need for a weekend break, milk, orange juice, bread and butter, and jams provided.. Excellent luxury shower room with soap, body wash and shampoo provided, and bedroom with one of the most comfortable beds we have come across in our travels. Just across the road is a path that takes you up to the Middlewood Way, which is an old railway track turned into a walking and cycling path. We enjoyed lovely walks along there to the Windmill Pub and Bollington town.

We were able to breakfast and have a lovely morning walk to the canal while our son slept in.

The main bedroom was huge but the space for the third person was the sofa bed in the kitchen. We let our son stay in the big bedroom so he could stay up and do some work which restricted our activities somewhat. But if you don't have that particular family configuration - which is probably admittedly a little unusual - you will be fine.
