The Middlewood - Luxury self contained retreat

Beautiful luxury accommodation with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and excellent shower. Home away from home and has everything you need for a few nights always.

The property was very warm, clean and comfortable. The location was good - lovely walk along the canal etc and easy to get to a number of attractions and walks.

I think it was a very comfortable stay. Though there is a sofa bed in the kitchen diner I think it would be pretty cramped had that been used.

It is perfect place for a family vacation. Hosts are really thoughtful and even the minutes detail have been taken care of

Nothing everything was perfect

We really enjoyed our stay - the property felt very clean, fresh and new. The bedroom was a really good size and meant we could fit our bags and our toddler's travel cot with ease. The kitchenette was great for making breakfast or a light lunch and the owners were kind enough to provide a highchair when requested. Would definitely stay again.

As we had booked an apartment we were not expecting breakfast however the hosts provided tea/coffee/bottled water, milk, orange juice, and a loaf of freshly baked bread. There were also preserves, butter, biscuits, chocolate and for Easter a little present of small easter eggs. The bed was very comfortable, we both slept the best we had done for quite a while (including at home). The bathroom has an excellent shower with plenty of hot water. The place is very secure with large, high wooden electric gates operated by a key fob for access to the compound which includes the apartment/semi detached bungalow and the hosts own property and plenty of parking. This will be our new base when we come to the area to visit with family.

Nothing was an issue at all. If I had designed the property I would have made the kitchen/diner bigger and the bedroom smaller as the former would be a bit cramped if there were more than 2 people staying but then it is not aimed at families.

it was easy to find and get into.Lou was only next door and said give me a call if there is anything we needed but everything was there.It was very clean and comfortable and would definitely stay again.

I loved my time here, breakfast pack was a bonus and hosts were very kind and considerate.

my only criticism is that the bed was a quite lumpy, maybe it needs turning over as it has big dips in it!

Easy to find, good parking

Lovely self contained unit, super comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower. Really good off road, gated parking. Definitely would recommend and would stay again, the hosts were lovely and left some wonderful touches with milk, orange juice, bread and jams etc to make our stay even better!
