The Middlewood - Luxury self contained retreat

Beautiful and homely, everything you need for a very comfortable trip away. The bathroom was amazing with a walk in shower and underfloor heating!

Only thing missing was an oven but you can easily cope without.

Loved everything, big bedroom, walk in shower, fluffy towels, bread, jam, butter, milk and orange juice! Lovely and clean

Mattress was really uncomfortable and needs replacing because it has body shapes in it!

Beautifully presented, space well used, welcome food well thought out, luxury bedding and towels, ambient temperature just right so all on all perfect x

Can’t fault

Location was behind a secure electric gate and in a beautiful leafy area on a quiet narrow road. The parking was free and there were plenty of spaces for my friend to visit and park her car. Lovely parents of owner who were there to greet us and also settle us. Lovely stay.

We had a little trouble finding the place as I booked the place seven months before using it and I had forgotten the initial how to find us email. This email contained the name of the house we should be looking for and not "The Middlewood". My only suggestion would be that this other name be part of any automated emails from Booking.com so that it reminds a busy and stressed out dad that they should be looking for "Lundy Rise". Thankfully they answered their phone to remind me of the name of the property and the gate code.

The property was clean, warm and the staff were really lovely. Lou made sure we had everything we needed and we would definitely stay there again.

The bed was super comfortable, however the pull out bed in the kitchen was quite uncomfortable.

Everything. Lovely location. Very quiet had a lovely sleep. The property is immaculate and very comfortable. We are looking forward to going again. Hosts Phil and Lou could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
