Horatio’s

The accommodation was beautifully presented, and well equipped with everything you could want for self-catering accommodation. We stayed here as we were going to a wedding just down the road at the Woodyard, and I am sad we didn't stay for more the 2 nights as it was a home from home. The food package that was included was such a lovely touch and much appreciated after a long journey. There was enough for breakfast for the two of us for both mornings. The roll top bath was a real treat too, as were the toiletries that were provided. Jock was a wonderful, kind and welcoming host and we felt like nothing was too much trouble. He very kindly provided us with a full length mirror for getting ready and also they have a travel cot which was one less thing for us to pack for our 7 month old. I would not hesitate to book Horatio's again and I would go there just for a relaxing weekend away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area.

Jock and Katie were so welcoming and provided everything we needed, including vegetarian food for a cooked breakfast, delicious snacks and wonderful toiletries. Location quiet and close to our destination for a wedding. Beautiful little garden and patio for Horatios.. we ate our breakfast outside in the sun. We used the sofa bed as well as the bedroom and the beds were very comfy. Kitchen superbly equipped. Horatio's is compact but very well designed and felt luxurious and special.

There was nothing to dislike... on the contrary .. Jock and Katie had thought of everything to make the stay wonderful.

Great location and very comfortable stay! Katie and Jock were not available to meet us when we arrived as they went on a little getaway. Regardless, they were extremely helpful and did message to see if we were ok and if there was anything we needed. Great communication. They went above and beyond and we really appreciated the additional breakfast items and drinks provided.

Spotless and luxurious. Really great hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful stay.

The location is perfect and it is so peaceful. Very clean and tidy and they have thought about everything you need for a wonderful stay and put it into practice. From the moment you arrive they make your stay amazing with some goodies they have ready for you after your journey down and for your first morning to start your stay.The beds are very comfy and the bathroom is perfect. Wi-Fi works Fantastic. Katie and Jock make your stay a pleasure and are a wealth of good information about the area. They truly know how to make you feel welcome and to make your stay absolutely perfect. Thank you for a great week …

It was perfect

The bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was very clean. The supplies of toiletries, bread, milk, eggs, bacon, sausages etc was very welcome. We appreciated the extra goodies, thank you! The kitchen was extremely well equipped, you thought of everything. Lots of useful information available. We felt at home immediately and hope to come back again.

Once we were used to the slightly unusual layout of the bedroom and bathroom, there was nothing we didn't like!

wow, wow, wow. this is a beautiful cottage with very high standards, spotless and much attention to detail with the furnishings, toiletries and the most loveliest host you would ever wish for. Our stay was for our wedding accommodation and Jock, Katie and their daughter were so kind with all there loving touches and welcome pack. when arriving back from the wedding there were lovely personal touches that blew us away.
