JOIVY Modern and Airy flat on the Historic Royal Mile

Location Spacious

On arrival the spiral staircase was blocked with plastering equipment including sharp saws leaving us to navigate the narrow edge of the staircase with two children. Having booked for two adults and two children in accommodation that advised a bed and sofa bed I didn’t expect to then be asked to pay an additional fee to have linen on the sofa bed. I would expect the price quoted for 4 guests would be inclusive of this. On arrival there then was only line. For one child, we hunted out another pillow and informed the property but they did not manage to get us another pillowcase until the following day despite it being only about 4pm. There was chewing gum stuck to the floor, dirty plasters on the floor and hairs in the bed. The property did offer another clean but by the time I got that message on the Saturday it seemed a bit pointless as we were out all day and leaving the following day. There was only 2 bowls for breakfast for a family of 4. It seemed from the property instructions we were expected to place rubbish in public bins on the Main Street. I would’ve expected there to be a bin available for the property.

Excellent location, spacious apartment, very well equipped, the heating was not working, but after a phone call a couple of hrs later it was fixed. Totally recommend

Location was very good

The location of the keys isn't at all comfortable, you have to go all the way down the hill to take them and then go uphill again while they could have left the keys in a box at the front. We had to go all the way to the office at 3am because out flight left early. We booked the apartment for 3 people but we only got the notification that we need to pay separately for the sofa couch AFTER booking! Not only that when we arrived the sofa wasn't even prepared with bed linens so we had to call CS, turned out the linens were hidden underneath the couch seat. Not just that but later that day we discovered that the sofa bed was broken so we couldn't even OPEN THE BED! One of us had to sleep on the sofa even though we paid for the bed! The place is incredibly loud, you can hear the neighbours walking and the restaurant downstairs emptying their trash every morning. We stayed for 4 nights and we were provided with only 2 toilet paper rolls, so we had to buy our own. The air-conditioning was super hard to figure out but even after we figured it out it was set to eco so every morning the temperature would go down to 15 so it was super freezing.
