JOIVY Modern and Airy flat on the Historic Royal Mile

Great central location! Good amenities.

Sofa has a broken leg making it wonky and uncomfortable to sit on. Builders on scaffolding outside the property all day- couldn’t open the blinds in the bathroom or bedroom because builders could see in. Had to keep the blinds shut the whole time we were there.

Location and layout. Nice kitchen, great shower. Everything well thought out

We had some issues with the sleeper sofa but I feel certain that the hosts will fix this issue.

Loved the location , right off the Royal Mile. Kitchen was new and modern. Pretty sure there was a ghost in the courtyard the first night. Neighbor chased him away.

Very noisy. Being over 2 restaurants, 1 with a bar. Voices, sounds and loud neighbors who had a party until 6 am the first night sounded like they were right outside the windows. A close on one side and a courtyard on the other were part of a walking tour and funneled the voices right into the apartment. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable but the main bed was great. Need to update manual on the heating system. Took me a few days before I figured out it was controlled by an AI device on the bookshelf.

1) Booking.com communication sent me to an old address and abandoned location to collect the property key. This had bad repercussions because a) my initial reaction was that I had been scammed; b) I had to sort out the matter myself by making several expensive and lengthy phone calls c) made me lose a lot of time and sapped much of my enthusiasm to explore the new destination. 2) The property was very noisy at night from outside (street) bars and the continuous creaking of the wooden flooring from nearby apartments

Curved stairs to suite, terrible sofa bed almost un useable. Even as a couch chose to sit on floor to watch tv.

Very clean, good wifi, execellent location.

We were given the wrong key to the main entrance. We weren’t informed that the main door lock was changed on the day of our check-in. And the office where the keys was tcollected from was a bit of a walk from the property. Good thing, the guy from the other flat went out and told us. The key was there on the flat we are about to rent. So if no one happened to be going out of the main door, we have to go back all the way to the office of Altido.
