Modern, clean. Perfect location

Location was great and very clean.

No dryer and a few additional towels would have been nice

The location was perfect and the place was clean

Since the location is in the heart of everything, it got quite noisy at night with the people outside walking up and down the stairs to and from the main road area, but I guess that’s what you get when the location is perfect.

Really loved this place - it is located in a historical location just off the royal mile, beautifully decorated and with a very helpful host. We booked on the day after a disappointing experience elsewhere and the host allowed us to leave our luggage there early and was super responsive.

It is on 2 floors but otherwise all ok

This is a fabulous apartment in an ideal location, right in the heart of the Royal Mile. The accommodation was meticulously clean and extremely comfortable. Huge thanks to Ivy who was a brilliant host and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. We look forward to a return visit.

We were impressed with the friendly communications we had from Ivy, she sent detailed instructions and photos of how to gain entry to the property and we felt she was readily available if we needed help. The apartment was superbly situated, close to the castle, opposite St Giles Cathedral, with a lovely view of Princes Street and the Scott memorial. Very thoughtful little extras like coffee, tea, condiments, and even honey, sauces and jam. Clean, spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. Warm and cosy despite the freezing weather.

Unfortunately we couldn't get the shower in the en suite to work but there was another, and a bath, in the family bathroom. We were awakened several times by people (mostly drunks!) at night using the Advocates Close steps but of course this isn't the owner's fault.

Advocates apartment is perfect - lots of space for 4 adults and the 2 bathrooms is an added bonus. Location is also brilliant - you are literally in the heart of Edinburgh old town just off the royal mile so really convenient for all the attractions, bars and restaurants. Information and communication from the owner of the property has been first class. When we return to Edinburgh we will try and book advocates apartment again if it is available.
