I loved staying in this sweet, traditional Japanese townhouse. It was spotlessly clean and everything was impeccable. The onsen bathing room was delightful and luxurious and all the appliances were new and worked well. The location was quiet, yet convenient to everything. The host met us on check-in and was so kind and responsive to our needs, she stopped by later and brought us child sized slippers and chocolates for our kids. We had a great stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Yamamoto-san was an exceptional host. She greeted us during check-in and showed us around the area. The house is located in a quiet street yet near to the temples around Kyoto, great for sight seeing. The place is fully equipped for a family of 4 or 5. Walking distance to shopping district. Highly recommended!!

Convenience store is a 7-10min walk away.

the apartment was clean and spacious! The beds were perfect for us. The kitchen was very easy to use if you ever get some things to cook from the near by stores.

Ume met us during check in and went over how to use everything on the property. Her property was spotless, high tech yet a traditional Japanese home, the beds were extremely comfortable and she had a washer / dryer on the property which was really convenient. Another great feature was an automatic bath where you push a button and it fills up the tub with hot water. Get some Japanese bath salts and you won’t regret. Perfect after a long day of walking. All in all this was the best place we stayed at in Japan and would stay here again.

Loved the location and the cleanliness! The space was really nice and relaxing and our host was so friendly and accommodating. The bed and futon were also super comfortable. It was such a lovely stay. The best part of our trip was staying at this location as we were staying in a neighborhood where locals live and the location is super central for walking everywhere and quiet as well.

The kitchen could have been stocked with a little more basic cooking ingredients like olive oil, sugar, soy sauce.

Great location, very clean and tidy house and the host was very helpful and made sure we knew how to use everything. The host also booked a taxi for us to get back to the train station when we checked out which was very much appreciated.

The host is really nice, and the place is fully equipped with a coffee machine and coffee capsules—thank you for that! ☕️ Everything is new and comfortable, making it perfect for a family stay. Highly recommended!
