We really enjoyed the apartment, it was exceptionally clean and and equipped with all necessary stuff. The hostess was very nice and helped us a lot , also when ordering luggage currier services.

The apartment is super chic and in an excellent location. Bathroom facilities are exquisite. Interactions with the hosts were the best I have ever experienced, incredibly kind, patient and accommodating.

The actual bed is japanese style (which means it's hard), but tatami rooms and futons are very comfortable. Nearest subway is a 5-10 minute walk, but bus stations are closer.

Beautiful home, very new and spacious with all the mod cons. Kids loved the tatami mat bedroom. Rooms are very spacious for japan.Deck upstairs was cute. Kitchen and 2 bathrooms were just perfect. The location is great; walking distance to a number of sites in higashiyama district. Close enough to Gion but out of the hustle of the tourists. Great restaurants nearby. Exceptional host, went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable.

A little tricky for taxi to find due to one way street you may wish to use main road 75m down the road . Bed was a little firm but that is common in Japan.

Ume Is the perfect host, always helpful and very kind. The place has a very good location not too far from the station, very close to the national Museum, and in walking distance to important temples one really can relax and feel at home in this place.

Lovely host, perfect cleanliness and all amenities present.- Dyson hair appliance was appreciated! Wonderful little bath and steam room plus a very pleasant garden outlook. We had a great stay. The host was very good with her instructions- the house has many modern features and automations, so make sure to listen, or even better, video the more complicated instructions - especially the doors, bath, Bluetooth and lights.

The location is delightful, but It is a bit of a hike to and from the nearest train station and areas of interest for us. You are definitely not in a ‘tourist’ area. However, in good weather and when we had no time pressure, it’s pleasant walking through the little streets and seeing a bit of daily life. My tip is: Get a taxi app organised (Uber, Go etc) for days you want to get going or have a lot of other walking to do and save your legs for the amazing temples, shrines, markets and Gion. If you are a light sensitive sleeper, bring an eye mask for the front bedroom as it gets bright very early. The Tatami bedroom - if you need a comfortable mattress for good sleep, rethink this type of stay. We doubled the mattress and it was comfortable, but a single mattress on the floor is hard going for peeps that need some cushioning to sleep well. The front door is complex - I videoed the host doing the instructions inside and out, so all was well- but make sure you listen when she is showing you! Many lights stay on at night in the stairwell, they turn of automatically eventually. Have a great trip!

The apartment was spot clean and with high quality appliances. It was very modern and cosy. The Japanese bath was suoperb, we really enjoyed our time there. Beds were comfortable and the owner more than kind.
