JOIVY Stylish 3 bed, 3 bath flat with Balcony in Old Town

Nice views, quiet area, nice small pub near by, beds comfortable…Also discovered Outlander had been filmed nearby

Some dust about, broken fridge door cover, could not find remote for TV… found next day under sofa… also found popcorn/stale ?bread under there, unable to open window in second bedroom, couple dining chairs worn

Great location, clean and comfortable accommodation. The views are incredible from the flat.

Getting in and keys were a real issue. The key safe isn't labelled but it is luckily the one on the top of all the other key safes. The address doesn't specify that it is flat number 14 at building number 14 - cue a dash around the entire complex to try and find it and a call to the help line (that is clearly somewhere abroad and didn't pick up, although did call back 10mins later) to find out where the flat was. Once into the flat, everything was great, however, it seems that other people have the same issue with unlabelled key safes, so every time we went out, we found that our key safe had been tampered with, often with an almost correct code having been put in. We suspected that other key safes had the same or similar code, so opted to take the keys with us when we went out, rather than storing them there. Make sure you do the same for your safety and security.

Courants d'air autour des fenêtres. Congélateur pas dégivré. Absence de réponse concernant le fonctionnement de l'ascenseur.

Todo, no le falta de nada, es muy tranquilo y está perfectamente ubicado.

We (3 women) loved having 3 separate bedrooms and 3 separate bathrooms. Apartment is quiet, well equipped with a full kitchen with clothes washer/dryer (which we didn't use), and well located. Easy walk to Holyrood palace, Royal Mile. Beds very comfortable, lots of blankets, good heaters, and great water pressure.

Check in process is awful. Keys need to be picked up at a separate location that is supposed to be a 10 minute walk from the apartment. But that means 10 minutes if you know exactly where you're going, if it isn't dark, or raining, you aren't jet lagged from an overnight flight, and you don't mind dragging your luggage up hills and over cobblestones. (Such was our experience.) Be forewarned: once you find the place to pick up your key, you'll need a 6 digit code (which we didn't have) or you're out of luck. Once you finally prevail, keys in hand at last, you'll need a taxi or brave another walk to get back to the apartment. Also, keys must be dropped off at the same location when you depart. Upgrade here is sorely needed.

Check in ruim onde as chaves tinham que ser retiradas em outro local, o que só ficou claro depois da reserva não cancelável. No local de retirada e entrega das chaves os funcionários não se mostraram amigáveis, parecendo que estavam fazendo um favor pro hóspede. Também não aprovo a falta de clareza quando da reserva, quanto a necessidade de contratação de seguro ou caução. Este tipo de condição deveria estar claro antes da reserva, ou seja, surpresas desagradáveis após a reserva sem possibilidade de cancelamento.
