Aftonbank Self Catering apartment, Pitlochry

Easy access into town & lovely peaceful location.

No negatives about Aftonbank.

Spacious and comfortable

Could have done with more hot water, only filled the bath part way and it ran cold. I love a long hot bath after a full day.

We struggled to get there on our cycles, on a rainy day, and I was afraid we had chosen the wrong place... The location doesn't even come up on Google Maps! As soon as we had got there, and talked to Wayne, we knew this was a wonderful choice. It's very private, and very well furnished. There are even a few books signed by local authors! Wayne knows everything about the town. The way to get there, btw, is to turn left at the duck pond on the way to the Pitlochry Golf Course. Breakfast at the Golf Course is great, and so is dinner at Moulin. Both of these are short walks from Aftonbank.

Spacious, well equipped, plenty hot water. Free WiFi 15 minute walk to shops, etc

Couldn't work out the timer to make the oven/grill work. Instructions complicated.

The apartment was very clean, spacious and very quiet. It was in an excellent location 10 minutes walk to the town. Wayne was very friendly and although he lived above the apartment we were offered privacy. A must for anyone wanting to stay in Pitlochry.

There was nothing to dislike

The hosts are wonderful. Wayne and Martina /Linda are the perfect hosts,kindly ,friendly,informative and professional. The setting is marvellous.The accommodation is first class and equipped comprehensively.You want for nothing. We even had friends round for dinner .We will definitely return.

Absolutely nothing

Very comfortable leather couches to relax on - felt like home almost immediately. In the kitchen there were books to browse which I really liked, since for example there were interesting hikes described and many more things.

Somewhat old-fashioned

Breakfast was not included. The location was very quiet and peaceful and a short walk into town. It was also a 7 minute walk to a nearby golf club where we dined on the excellent cuisine. It was very reasonably priced compared to other places in Pitlochry and they sold locally brewed beer. The properly was very clean, a good size for the two of us and plenty of storage space in the bedroom. The little patio was lovely and caught the sun later in the day
