It would be an excellent place for fabulous views if the weather had been better ….storm Amy came through 🙄 Kay was lovely and tried her best under the circumstances

Would be better to have a larger fridge but difficult where to put it . Need a slice for kitchen

The location was good, the cabin was excellent and the hosts were there if you needed them but not over the top

The drive there but worth it

Wir hatten wunderschön erholsame Tage bei Kay und Ian, die hilfsbereit und freundlich waren. Die Lodge (Nr. 1) liegt sehr ruhig. Sie hatte einen tollen Blick auf´s Meer und nach Irland hinüber. Die Unterkunft war mit allem ausgestattet, was man so brauchte (allerdings keine Vorräte wie z.B. Gewürze, Kaffee u.ä.). Es gab frische Eier von frei laufenden Hühnern. Von der Lodge konnte man direkt nach Portpatrick wandern. Insgesamt ein super Ort, um sich zu erholen.

Fantastic location, so peaceful, overlooking the sea from the fields above. Nice short walk down to a wee cove below, and short drives to several nice places nearby.

Kay and Ian kept me updated with my booking, double checked my requirements and visited me on site to make sure I had everything I needed.The accommodation was lovely, very clean and comfortable with everything anyone could ask for. The location was amazing, very peaceful and the view was outstanding. The little provisions box was stocked everyday with delicious local produce, which of course I had to sample, daily 😂. The best bit for me was the enclosed field for dogs, it's so nice knowing that your dog can run off lead and be safe and secure without bothering the farm animals. I will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely nothing, I loved every minute of my stay.

The location was perfect. The view was so peaceful and the sheep in the fields were adorable and enjoyed being petted. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The luxury welcome pack was amazing and full of delicious treats The night sky was totally unspoilt so star gazing was unlike anything we’ve seen at home There was a guest folder that made lots of welcome suggestions and a magazine in the lodge with them as well so it was lovely to wake up and plan a day out based on the weather and all the suggestions as well as things we had in mind. There was a lovely short walk to a beach through the fields

Absolutely nothing

This was our 2nd year here & we absolutely love it. We brought the family this time and had 3 lodges. We had a family emergency before we got here so had to do a bit of a change of occupancy in the lodges with dogs etc, Kay & Ian were very understanding. We got the welcome packs again & they did not disappoint!! We were lucky enough some surprise lambs had been born so got a hold. This place has amazing views & is very peaceful to switch off. Great base for going around Dumfries & Galloway. We will be back!
