"Exceptional"

Very nicely designed apartment with a lot of chill area and everything you need. The location is very quiet and it feels like in the middle of the jungle with lots of birds and wildlife around. We had a good time in Unawatuna thanks to this apartment and the host Kris, who is very attentive and kind.

"Perfect home stay to feel the real Sri Lankan culture."

Perfect if you want to get to know a loving local family and experience the feeling of real Sri Lankan lifestyle. Spacious room with en-suite bathroom. Full equipped kitchen next door and amazing balcony to chill surrounded by hibiscus and butterflies.

"A great spot if you don't mind being out of town"

A charming apartment with a wonderful outdoor chill area. Compared to your standard hotel room there is a lot of space. The kitchen is completely separate from the bedroom. The host family is very nice.

It's in a quiet residential area about a 25 or 30 minute walk into town. It was too far out for our tastes.

Old Chilli House is lovely. It is away from the busy road, it is on the second floor and in amongst the trees. Old Chilli house has been tastefully designed and furnished. I really enjoyed my stay at Old Chilli House and loved Unawantuna.

"Authentic Sri Lankan experience"

The apartment is spacious, has a good location and most important to mention: amazing owners and hosts! I was welcomed warmly and also during my stay, Kris and Divika were so helpful. I had the tastiest Sri Lankan food here as well. Make sure to also try Divika‘s breakfast and dinner, it is so good! I very much enjoyed my stay and can totally recommend to stay at Old Chilli House.

"Highly recommend"

Perfect balance of traditional style and comfort. The room has a separate entrance through the stairs and a large comfortable balcony. The kitchen is clean and well equipped. Good location, the sun leaves the balcony around 11 am, during the day it is not exhaustingly hot, which is also helped by high ceilings. Very friendly hosts and good atmosphere, you really feel like a guest, not a client. Not the fastest internet, but Dialogue and Hutch have a good signal.
