Mr Stephen personally drove all the way from his home to Cheltenham to let us in. My husband has cancer and I had hoped to access the property earlier at 3pm after multiple train journeys taking 4 hours. Mr Stephens cleaner kindly offered to let us in at 3 pm but being on a high speed train the phone calls from Mr Stephen would not connect. To be personally shown in by Mr Stephen later was a privilege. We learnt about the perfume industry, which I did not know existed in Britain. Even the jams for the scones provided on our arrival were beautifully labelled, and my husband thoroughly enjoyed these gifts. Plus we had milk, clotted cream, and tea provided.

Our stay was during the second heatwave so it was quite warm in the apartment. There is air conditioning provided throughout the rooms, and blinds on the windows which really helped.
