KCS Birmingham City Apartment with Balcony/Parking

Lovely apartment in a great location. Close to O2 Academy, Chinatown, Broadway Street and Brindleyplace.

One of the residents in the apartment block was playing loud music until 0430 so didn't have the best sleep!

Very spacious and clean, comfortable and very close to city centre.

The check in was a pain, picking the keys up from a secondary location and then returning them on check out.

Spacious, warm, clean good location.

Few faults, shower door was broken in main bathroom. On-suite shower broken, bath panel loose. No access to balcony from living room as door screwed shut.

The easiest and best stay we have had,so close to everything and very spacious:)

Very clean and pretty well-equipped. Mostly very quiet. Comfortable furniture, bed, etc. TV worked, but apps only.

Two of three means to lock front door broken or missing. Did not feel secure. Neither of extractor fans in bathroom and shower room worked. Shower area light in shower room did not work - not very safe. Several other electrical devices/fittings did not work. The accommodation needs a basic overhaul.

So they give you two postcodes to get to the property... The first postcode I put into Google maps it brought me to a side door, I was unsure if it was the right place but I tried my key fob and the door opened... The property is 5th floor... I asked a woman I saw in the building if there was a lift and she said 'no' so I hoisted my suitcase up five flights of stairs and then could not find the apartment!! I phoned the host and luckily he answered immediately... I was In the wrong part of the building although that was the entrance the postcode had brought me to on Google... I was told to go back down all the stairs and video call with the host on WhatsApp and then he directed me to the underground carpark entrance and I had to go under that way to get to the apartment and there was a lift there. I never found any other way into the building during my stay. It was very clean however the pots and pans and cups looked grubby and we didn't use the kettle as it was half full of stagnant water There is also a faint musty smell like mouldy bathroom smell when you come in through the front door The bathroom with only a shower the door is broken... I didn't even dare use it in case it fell off entirely and I wanted to see if the water was cooler in that shower as I will go on to advise others that the other shower water is just far too hot and cannot be adjusted to cool or cold Well other past reviews also state this shower door is broken and the issue with too hot water... It's a pity the owner doesn't fix these issues The bathroom with a bath and shower over bath has two temperatures for the water in the shower.. very Hot and scalding hot...it was only just bearable Also the fitting that the shower hose is held in place on the wall by is broken and kept falling off... This is again also mentioned by past guests who left reviews.
