Luxury studio apartment near Birmingham citycentre

The location is quiet but convenient. Access was easy and good correspondence. It's a really feel good place. Quirky decor. Amazing TV. The studio has everything for a short stay. Super clean.

Nothing to dislike.

The location of the apartment isn't too far from Digbeth. It cost us £10 in an Uber to get there on a Saturday evening. The apartment was spacious and nicely decorated and easy to access. I didn't use the kitchen facilities, so I'm unable to comment on that. There are many food places within walking distance from the apartment, which was convenient. There's free on-street parking. However, it's a very busy residential area, so you may have to park a short walk from the apartment.

It would've been nice to have a hand towel in the bathroom, the mattress sheet was worn, and it wasn't the most comfortable bed I've slept in. Based on these things, I wouldn't describe the apartment as "luxery." However, it was a good stay, and I'd stay again when/if visiting the area.

The size and look of the room was lovely and colourful, modern kitchen, kettle, toaster and microwave, cooker and even a washing machine and everything you need, which you won't find in a hotel! Usb outlet was a nice bonus. The bed was smaller than the one I have at home but it was VERY comfortable and the TV was huge. Nice comfy chair. Nice hot shower. Lots of on street parking and I didn't feel bad leaving my car. Close to city centre and very cheap Uber! Lots of shops and food places very close by and and the area looked nice. Exactly what we needed for the couple of nights we needed to stay. Host was extremely responsive and very helpful when we had a problem and sorted everything out very fast. I'm not putting that under the negatives because it was not the hosts fault, and the host was very kind, very friendly and seemed very happy to help and sorted it out extremely fast. We really appreciated that a lot and we would definitely stay again!

There was a tray for tea, coffee, sugar but only 1 tea bag, a couple of sugars and no milk. However. This is only a minor issue as there are so many shops about to get our own, so we did :) Id love to have had a thicker duvet but the room has a really good heater so it was nice and warm very fast and so, again this is a minor niggle and not a huge problem. Would love to have had a second comfy chair or a little sofa as there were two of us. Overall, there were no big issues with this place and the value for money was spot on!

After receiving a WhatsApp message confirming the property was ready for check-in, and following the initial communication regarding where to collect the keys, I found the lockbox empty. When a staff member finally brought the keys, the property was still unclean, and the curtains had been torn from the wall. I had to wait an additional hour for the property to be cleaned and prepared for check-in. Furthermore, despite multiple requests—both from myself and through Booking.com—for a business invoice, the property management has repeatedly avoided issuing one. They also claim not to be a VAT-registered business in the UK, yet have charged VAT on the reservation.
