One Bay Residence Modern Contemporary Apartment Flat 4

There's a lot to like about this apartment - it's stylish, comfortable and has everything you need. The underground parking worked well and there was always plenty of space whilst we were there. It's only a short walk away from Pereybere beach and a large supermarket. The host was very communicative and responsive. We felt a little underwhelmed by the stay though, as we had quite high expectations that weren't fully met.

I'm not sure how old this property is, but it's definitely feeling "used", and this doesn't come across in the pictures for the listing that are clearly from when it was brand new. This was most obvious in the communal outdoor space - the decking all needs replacing and although they've tried to stop people falling in the biggest holes by putting up some barriers, these are right outside the property's patio area and are a bit of an eyesore. The pool itself looks fine but we didn't end up spending any time in the pool area because of this. We also didn't use the jacuzzi as we found it was too cold - this would probably be appreciated on a very hot day, though! The property wasn't spotlessly clean. There's no hot water tap in the kitchen, or plug/bowl, which wouldn't bother some people as there is a dishwasher, but as a family we did need to do some manual washing up.

Everything was perfect

I loved everything! The apartment was super clean with contemporary design and equipment. The Jacuzzi was a plus and the Location is great with Supermarket, restaurants, the Beach and a mall very near to the apartment. The host (Nadeer) was awesome and very responsive.

Great neighborhood, supermarket, and beach within walking distance. The cleaning lady is very kind and has lovely children. Additionally, our contact person is very responsive via WhatsApp. A cyclone was coming up, he promptly provided all the necessary information on what to do during this cyclone. The apartment has everything you need, from kitchen utensils and pots to a washing machine and oven. The neighborhood is quiet. The Wi-Fi was solid and reliable. This was very convenient for when I needed to hop on my laptop.

- We found bedbugs in the back room next to the balcony. The next morning, pest control arrived and did everything they could to get rid of the bugs. I definitely give credit for acting fast. However, it really sucked having to wait outside at the balcony of the apartment due to the pesticides. Lost us a whole morning and part of the afternoon, and who wants to waste time like that on holidays. Overall, the place would've been a solid nine if it weren't for the bugs. - During the bedbug incident, we noticed the staff washing the bedding at 30 degrees Celsius. Bacteria and bedbugs are killed at at least 60 degrees. This is kind of unsettling. - The temperature of the Jacuzzi can't be adjusted, I checked in with our contact. The water is COLD. You can't really get in it, even if it's 30 degrees (Celsius). It's like the jacuzzi is just for show. - We only got one big and one small towel per person, which is not much considering how long we were staying. - We barely got enough toilet paper for the duration of our stay. It definitely should've been restocked more often. - One Bay Residence is just a bit further than the hot spots, so it's about a 10-minute walk each time if you want to grab a quick bite or reach the nearest beach (Pereybere Beach, The Cloud Rooftop Bar). During the day, that might not be very pleasant due to the heat of the sun. - Security guard at the garage often slept. There were times we had to get out of the car ourselves to open the gate.
