Clean, comfortable, convenient for The Lakes. Good price and near pubs etc.

Sitting room was a squeeze with 3 of us, but we were out all the time, so not a problem.

The location was excellent. The size for perfect for two friends.

We found it unfortunate that there was no information pack about the property and surrounding area. There was a magazine about Cockermouth but it was mainly an advertisement mag. As it happened, I was taken ill while we were there so we couldn't do as much as we would have liked and spent a lot of time in the property. Netflix only worked the first night. After that, it was useless. I text the owner who seemed to have ignored my questions. There was no welcome pack like milk, tea which I personally think is a nice touch. In addition there were absolutely no cleaning products in the property. It was unfortunate that on our way home, I was sick. If that had happened in the property, we wouldn't have been able to clean it up. Disinfectant and/or bleach, cloths, mop, etc would have helped. I have never been in a holiday property where nothing of this sort is provided. There was a wear mark on one of the headboards which was unsightly, a mark on one of the curtains and there were cobwebs in various places. This gives the impression that there is no attention to detail or the want to maintain the property well, which is a shame.

The apartment was a good size and was in the perfect location for the centre of Cockermouth and comes with a parking spot. It was close to the river and all the shops and restaurants/bars. We arrived and noticed that we hadn't got any towels but by the time we had been for a quick walk we got back and they had been sorted out for us.

This apartment is absolutely beautiful! Darren was so lovely and accepted my 13 year old cat Monty. I’ll book straight away again
