Irene Court Cockermouth

Everything about this beautiful apartment was amazing! Darren the host is so lovely too!

Irene Court is in a perfect position to enjoy everything that Cockermouth has to offer. Literally 3 minutes walk to the high Street. The apartment we stayed in is modern and very comfortable with everything that we needed to make our stay extremely enjoyable and dog friendly too. The parking space is just a few metres from the front door in a courtyard very easy to get our luggage in and out. We will not hesitate to book again next time we visit the Lake District.

I honestly can't think of anything that we didn't like about Irene Court. The position is great and the apartment is well appointed.

Location in the town

Too many stairs to reach apartment

Really friendly host, sent all info in advance of check in. Apartment is ground floor and free parking, all the facilities you could need for a couple of days stay. Allowed to bring our dog so we did move some living room furniture just to make it a bit more spacious but generally a really roomy and comfy space. First time taking dog away and there was no extra charge for the pet which is great. Ground floor apartment made it a bit easier for letting her out for wees/poos, and there is a small patch of grass around the back where we took her.

Great benefit of free parking but a bit awkward to get to for bigger cars - small alley way work cars parked on one side so must be confident driver. I didn’t enjoy the key method for checking in either - would prefer to have a key for the apartment to feel safer.

There was no downside to the property

Convenience as located in centre of town so walking distance to the shops. Parking on site

Heating system is a little noisy. Decor a little tired as few scuffs on the kitchen worktops
