Quirky Cottage, Cosy Grade II listed 2 bed apartment Troutbeck Bridge

My friend had difficulty sleeping in the single beds so I think new mattresses would have added extra comfort to her stay.

The location was perfect for what we needed as we were doing a lot of walking. the beds were comfy. And had a ok equipped kitchen

Cleanliness wasn't very good at all, dust everywhere, sticky marks on the sides carpets needed a good hoover. The oven trays hadn't been washed just put back in the cupboard. The bins from the previous people where overflowing outside the house leaving us nowhere to put our rubbish. There was used poo bags left down the walk way to the front door. a broken suitcase dumped outside. There was no parking. no garden like the picture suggests and of you want to sit outside you directly look into someone's kitchen.

We chose the cottage because of its name and weren’t disappointed. It was so cosy that we almost wished we’d had a day of rain so we could have stayed there to enjoy the atmosphere more! The location was fantastic too and the parking just across the road not a problem either.

Nothing. It was perfect.

We stayed here for the Great North Swim 2024 and the accomodation couldn't have been better located. We had a little issue the night we arrived with the hot water but Nigel & Johanna sorted it within minutes of us flagging it - so helpful and communicative. The place was cosy, immaculately clean, and very well equipped for our stay.
