It was a really spacious apartment, three bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen/living room.

The decor was a bit tired. The kitchen plinth needs repairing. The bathroom skirting was a little the worst for wear. In general, it needed a little TLC Our biggest issue was the hallway. The lights were sensor operated, which was a great idea. However, the lights switched off after a while, only to snap back on again. This would have been alright except for the fact that the bedroom doors had a window above, which meant the rooms were permanently lit. This was not great for sleep.

"Good accommodation in nice area with restaurants."

8.0

Good sized rooms in the flat above the main pub. Nice sitting room for us all to meet up in and have coffee etc. We were able to park our van and one of the staff (manager?) moved his vehicle to make it easy for us without any problem. We found some lovely restaurants on the doorstep and a great cafe for breakfast next door!

The lighting in the flat was a bit weird and we think it would be helpful to any other guests to have it sorted out as it was the only thing that was a bit off-putting. We didn't see anyone on leaving to mention this to. The hall light was on all night but kept switching off for a second then coming back on - it was a very bright light and lit up our rooms. Some more sockets would be useful too and a mirror in the bathroom. However, we enjoyed our stay - thank you.

Convenient with restaurant below. Our waitress was awesome for dinner, but found the other staff to be a bit offhand. I believe they were understaffed the night we stayed, so perhaps stressed. Accommodation was good for a one night stay. Beds comfy.

Parking was hit and miss and bringing luggage in and out was a little challenging when the middle door between apartments and restaurant was closed.

"Great for a family group."

Comfortable rooms and plenty of space for us. We were a group of two adults and 4 x 16 years olds visiting the O2 Academy. Hotels are hard to manage with this ratio of adults to teenagers so this was the perfect solution. There are 2 car parks nearby but we used the on street parking just across the road.

Another loo would have been handy for a group our size.

"Great 1 night stay, would happily recommend and return for longer."

Easy to park outside, welcoming, lovely smell of beer brewing when entering the pub downstairs. Clean modern apartment but loved the historical 'ghost sign' of the original hotel incorporated on a bedroom wall. Our 2 bedroom apartment was ideal for us (myself, teenage daughter and her friend) and self catering was easy with shops nearby (Coop next door) and the kitchenette had everything we needed to store, prepare and cook food. The bathroom was lovely and warm, with a good powerful shower over the bath. Convenient location, 20 minute walk to the O2 venue in Bournemouth. Easy to find from the A338 (we drove down from the Midlands) and also a few minutes walk to Pokesdown train station (for connections to Bournemouth and Southampton). Not far from the sea, so on the Sunday morning drove to the lovely beachside Cafe Riva before the drive home (the cafe would have been just 10 minutes walk from the Brewhouse). The location felt safe to walk around, as did the pub itself, which was busy with families in for meals when we arrived in the afternoon, then rugby crowds in for the televised games later (and the excellent beer) with a busy but safe and friendly atmosphere. Would love to stay for longer next time.

The twin bedroom was a little cold, but we were only there 1 night and didn't notice until when we got in late from a gig, would have asked about it had we stayed another night (wouldn't put us off staying again though).
