Starting with the booking process. I booked an apartment for a friend for a longer time, also with them. Then I booked 3 more days, 2 and 1, because this is how I found availability. The 2 days, just before traveling to Cluj, were moved to another random date… Then I got a call that I should cancel them because it got double booked… Ok. Understandable. Did so. When the time for checkin arrived, I was given the details at the exact time, not sooner. Entered the apartment, put my bags in the hallway and said to check the apartment out. First, the air was un breathable. The reason for the exact checkin time was that it needed to be cleaned. Well, I think they closed all of the windows, vroomed everything to lift up the dust and then closed it. Because that’s how it felt, like an old room full of dust. Sofa had all kind of stains on it (god knows what happened there), the door to the balcony almost fell on me because it’s not opening right, the dresser in the bedroom had its doors stored inside the dresser, so little space for your own things. (Found out that my friends apartment also had faulty dresser doors that fell inside of the dresser, which scared her and she could not sleep in the bedroom for 3 nights because maybe the doors will fell on her while sleeping). Decided to go out, closed everything and left. Came back in the evening, the door to the bedroom could not be opened… Owner said he knows about the scratches on the wall, sofa and balcony door but that the bedroom is new to him. His solution was to enter through the bedroom window, from the balcony and sleep, but, as the window has not been opened, this was not a solution. Then he said I should sleep on the sofa but I said that I don’t even want to touch that stained sofa. He said to send him a call of the not opening door and that he will call an handyman to fix it. After that, all communication stopped. I didn’t even receive instructions on how to do the checkout, not even a goodbye, nothing, just silence.

This property was close to the mall and it had a playground and private parking.

It was difficult to enter the property because the host didn't provide detailed information about parking (a code for the security guard was necessary and the code for entering the building) and didn't answer his phone for the first hour causing us unnecessary stress after a long trip with 2 small kids in the car. The kitchen was not well equipped and dirty. The provided pots were not working on the stove and there were not enough bowls and cutlery for a family of 4. The bowls and plates were dirty and chipped. The baking pan was dirty and the frying pans were all scratched. The furniture was old and broken (living room couch had broken springs and they stuffed pillows underneath so it's not visible). The bathroom had mold around the bathtub & on the shower curtain and was dirty (old tooth paste boxes and empty toilet paper rolls around the washing machine). The bed in one of the rooms was barely holding, making sounds the first night and collapsed the second night. On closer inspection it was prompted up by a flimsy piece of wood nailed to the back of the bed. The bed sheets were too short and kept rolling off the bed. The drapes were dirty and gray instead of white. When I contacted the manager he told me I should have complained earlier and switch the apartment. But why would they rent out such an apartment in the first place???

This property is rented on the principle of 'if we can rent this way ,why not rent it out”Most of the stuff are not functional at this property , the cupboard doors in the bedroom are literally fallen and broken and the host doesn't care about a damn thing.
