Despite the grotty weather, our stay at Strawberry Fields in the Lake District was simply delightful! Nestled on the outskirts of the charming town of Cockermouth, this cosy home offers the perfect blend of comfort and countryside charm. The location is an ideal base for exploring the stunning Lake District, with breathtaking walks and scenic views. The home itself is beautifully maintained, with all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay, it really felt like a home away from home. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it easy to enjoy home-cooked meals after a day of exploring. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all had a great night's sleep after our adventures—waking up refreshed and ready to explore more of the beautiful surroundings. A special mention must go to our host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was such a thoughtful touch to find milk in the fridge when we arrived, so we could make a cup of tea and unwind right away. Little details like this made our stay extra special. One of the highlights for us was how dog-friendly the apartment is. Our furry friends had the time of their life, with a secure yard for them to go out in. The local pubs and cafes in Cockermouth were also a treat—warm, welcoming, and full of character. Overall, Strawberry Fields is the perfect base for a Lake District adventure. We left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for a charming, dog-friendly retreat in the heart of Cumbria, this is the place to be!

Strawberry Fields was a very well equipped property and was very nicely decorated with a spacious bathroom and large bedroom with a smaller one. Loved the courtyard which was great for the dogs. It was also in a very quiet location on the edge of Cockermouth.

Nothing but would suggest that there are coat hooks put on the back of all the doors as there was nowhere to hang your outdoor coats and the day we arrived it had been raining heavily all day and struggled to know where to hang the coats.

Really convenient location for walking, and apartment is well presented and cosy. Really enjoyed our stay here. All communications from host was prompt, friendly and helpful.

The apartment was ideally located and had everything we could have needed. It was ideal for my husband and I and our little boy.
