Spacious, newly renovated, three bedroom TOWN CENTRE duplex apartment with free parking, sleeps seven - Walking distance to beach

Great location, host really easy to talk to, good price, facilities great,

No soap, one of the beds was uncomfortable

The host was lovely and fantastic communication with clear instructions on how to access and find the property. The property was conveniently located to access local area and walkable distance to the sea side.

The property was certainly not spacious, the living areas were tiny and not enough seating to comfortably cater for the amount of people (it was 5 adults and a child in our party). We were lucky to manage the bathroom schedule well, however some may find it challenging. The location of the property didn’t feel safe at all and I’m glad that the car park was located up the road, where it felt safer to keep our car. There were boarded up windows, graffiti, rats and rubbish outside as well as some questionable individuals lurking around , it felt so different to the photos that when we arrived I had to double check we are at the correct location- credit to the photographer. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the property also didn’t feel up to standard, the bed linen felt dirty and it was stained on some of the beds, the cutlery also was not clean and perhaps having a dish washer would have benefited. There was no hand soap in the kitchen, no sponges and no kitchen roll to effectively maintain cleanliness as well as no shower gel in the bathroom, so we had to go to a shop nearby to buy these.

The beds in the twin room and the smaller double where not very stable, glued together and definitely need replacing. The twin room and the double bedroom were spacious but the other 'double' bedroom was very small and didn't have space to place a suitcase or a bedside table and lamp. We had to wash any cutlery before using it and the trays were at best not cleaned properly. I thought due to the number of guests (7) the property can host that it would have 2 bathrooms at least but one for 7 requires a rota for everyone to use the bathroom, something that wasn't mentioned on booking.com. The shower base also needs replacing as it's fiddly and the top base can rotate just by turning the shower head. The neighbourhood is not the best considering my children actually watched suspicious transactions from the kitchen window, despite booking.com advertising it as a great location. We also struggled to sleep until the food shops were closed, the noise and smell from their food chimneys kept us up until at least 2-3am as it was too strong and noisy despite keeping the windows closed. The flat can host up to 7 people but there's only 4 seats at the kitchen table and 4 seats on the sofas.

The apartment was warm, cosy and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for exploring Bournemouth, and it felt clean, comfortable and newly renovated. James was super communicative and helpful throughout, which made everything very easy.

Nothing significant to note. We had a great stay overall.

The apartment was in a brilliant location, with great communication from the host. It was very well presented, clean and tidy with adequate facilities all for a very reasonable price.

4 flights of stairs, nowhere to leave pushchair, no parking. Very noisy especially at night.

Host (James) was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Kitchen and bathroom were great and plenty of hot water.

Bed was average comfort. Sofas were uncomfortable and not enough comfortable seats available (suitable for 4 or 5 at a pinch). I appreciate there is not enough room for much more, but a couple of comfy chairs in the bedrooms, that could be used in the living/dining room would be very useful.

Amazing location! Hotspot with all the restaurants and cocktail bar around. If you like being at the centre of a happening place with everything around you and walk to the beach it’s absolutely perfect. We went to the Bournemouth pier to see the fireworks on Friday as suggested by James and it was fantastic. Needless to say house was great. Neat and clean, literally spotless and have pretty much everything you may need. We stayed there with kids and friends, and all of us liked it. Kids really enjoyed as there was plenty of space to move around, play and chill on the sofa with some Netflix. Shoutout to James, he has been informative and suggested some lovely places and everything you would need to know. Great host! 100% would be coming back again, we come to Bournemouth once a year and don’t think we want to stay anywhere else now!
