Nice and clean close to everything. Exactly where I needed to be easy to get to

The stairs going into the building. They're a little steep. I'm a little old lol

"A step back in time"

The architect and remodeling is exceptional. They showcase the work. This is a very classy place and the electronic entry was easy.

We were in the front room by the door which made it very noisy with people and street. On night 1 a very upset lady spent from 2 am to 3:30 am yelling in her phone. Then people crowded in the doorstep and talked for a long time.

"We enjoyed our stay but I would probably not stay here again"

6.0

For a small studio it felt homey and had a small kitchenette with dishes/utensils; however , no way to cook other than microwave. There was a very large table where a small couch would have been more appreciated as there was only one chaise to sit on. We loved the old building, the big windows and all the historical photos and the architecture of the Oaklands. It was walking distance to restaurants bars and shops in downtown MPLS.

We had difficulty with the PAID parking as people were parked in our spot when we arrived at night and then the spot they wanted us to park in would have blocked others because we had a truck. The whole parking process was confusing and frustrating. The code to get in the back door where we parked did not work on two occasions during our stay. After calling we were told we could enter with same code in the front; this was inconvenient and should have been relayed ahead of time. The walls are thin so we heard our neighbors TV when trying to sleep. It’s a given that you will hear the outside city noises since the property is in downtown area. We were double charged for our stay and it took calls to booking.com and to the property directly to get credited the $500 we were over charged.Booking.com did not respond in 48 hrs as they stated they would then when I followed up with them they just asked for the same info we had already given them. I then contacted the property directly and was able to get refunded quickly. However, this caused issues for us as $1000 was taken out of our account that we were not expecting. We booked the property through booking.com but the property also has a reservation process where you have to reenter your credit card info and this is what caused the duplicate charge.
