Me and my Fiancé planned a last minute trip to Pondicherry for the weekend after attending a wedding in Mahabalipuram. We were worried at first cause we had no planned itinerary or reservations. The hosts at Mel Ville took that stress away with multiple recommendations across Pondicherry. From beaches, fine dining restaurants, to dessert places and bars. The house is designed like a comfortable home. Warm, welcoming and convenient. It is spacious and delightful! On Saturday they recommended a near by restro-bar MelWhisk where we had a fun karaoke session and great food and drinks. The host is also an amazing chef, she made us some really delicious local food that made us feel like home.

Eine wirklich liebevoll geführte Gastfamilie... Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt... Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und das gesamte Anwesen ist bestens gepflegt. Die Gastgeber, die gleichzeitig die Eigentümer sind, geben sich alle Mühe, unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir wurden sogar mit kleinen kulinarischen Überraschungen verwöhnt... Vielen Dank für die wundervolle Zeit in Pondicherry ❤️

We had a lovely stay at Mel Ville! The room is curated very well. The hosts have thought about everything - from extra bed linen to motion sensor lights in the corridor. The hosts were also very helpful with their recommendations and arranging local transport. We also had a hearty breakfast to complete our pleasant stay.

I recently stayed at Mel Ville, and from the moment of booking, I was excited. That excitement only grew when I actually arrived and saw the place in person—it was beautifully kept, neat, and welcoming. The studio was exactly as described, and we were warmly greeted by the hosts. Throughout our stay, we were pleasantly surprised by their generosity—at times, even being treated to scrumptious home-cooked meals. One of the main reasons for my visit was to celebrate a very special day—my birthday. The hosts went above and beyond to make it memorable by surprising me with a cake. That thoughtful gesture really made my day and is something I’ll always remember. They also run a restaurant, Mel Whisks, and dining there was another highlight. We were greeted warmly, every dish on the menu was available, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The stay itself was very comfortable and gave us a homely feeling. The location is convenient, with parking available, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing. Most importantly, the hosts were incredibly kind, understanding, and always ready to help. I truly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming stay in Pondicherry. I will definitely be visiting Pondy again, and without a doubt, I’ll be staying here the next time too!
