The property was amazing and the location was very apt to go around the city. The hosts were very comforting and provided everything we could ask for. The entire process of checking in was smooth and the hosts gave us plenty of details for us to be ready to explore the town. The meals provided (cooked by the hosts themselves) tasted soo good, they can easily give any restaurant a run for their money. Would definitely recommend trying their food. The cleanliness was also top notch. Would absolutely recommend this property to anyone coming to Pondicherry wanting a good home stay vibe and great location.

Breakfast and meals were wonderful, and the hosts took extra to cater to my dietary preferences and needs. They regularly checked in with me about my needs during my stay and were very accommodating. I did an extended stay and they went out of their way to make sure my time there was comfortable and pleasant.

The location's proximity to the beach and White Town was great, but I wish the roads were a bit more walkable. However, the hosts were kind enough to provide me the contact information for local transport and made moving around the city a much more pleasant process.

The hosts, Anup ji and Mehak ji, are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of their extended family. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized. We requested an early check-in, and despite the early hour, Anup ji graciously accommodated us, even sacrificing some of his own sleep to greet us. Mehak ji was an absolute delight—her hospitality and warmth were unmatched. She surprised us with a complimentary breakfast platter, which was a delicious home-cooked meal that made us feel right at home. Communication throughout our stay was seamless, thanks to the WhatsApp group they created for us. They shared fantastic recommendations for places to visit, offbeat spots, cafes, and restaurants, helping us plan our trip perfectly. The care and attention didn’t stop there—they regularly checked in on us, kept the rooms spotless, and ensured everything was well-maintained. Anup ji also went the extra mile by helping us arrange a scooter rental at a fair price and helping us in booking slots for the Auroville Meditation Centre. The location of Mel Ville is perfect, right at the center of all the major attractions, making it easy to explore Pondicherry. In addition to their wonderful hospitality, Anup ji and Mehak ji’s family also run a fantastic resto-bar, Mel Whisk. Along with great food and drinks—it’s a lively spot with karaoke, Bollywood dance, live music, and more, which truly enhanced our overall experience and made the trip even more memorable. If you're planning a trip to Pondicherry, I highly recommend Mel Ville. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience you’ll cherish. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Our host Mehek was quite considerate and hospitable. There was staff who would get the luggage from car to your room and vice versa. The room was air conditioned. The room and beds were clean on the check-in and cleaned next day too. Bed linens were clean and fresh. We were offered a lemonade, some nuts during check-in and a sweet treat from their restaurant on the check-out as a friendly gesture.

Hot water is a bit of a trouble. Could have been better during summers but October being a rainy season, it was a bit uncomfortable. The beds were good for couples / couples with young children. May not be that comfortable for families with grown up children. Basic toilteries (shower gel, Shampoo)of good quality would have been good.Tooth paste and toilet paper was missing. Nevertheless there was a bidet spray. Hand shower / rain shower are found in all home stays these days, that could have been installed.

We recently had a wonderful stay at Mel ville, pondicherry , and I would highly recommend it to families ,couples , with colleagues and other guests! We traveled as a family of four, with two kids, and the apartment exceeded our expectations. we absolutely loved the place, and that says a lot!. Our children's memories of the hotel's comfort and beachside are still fresh in their minds few key takeaways from our stay: The apartment was incredibly well decor'ed , with ample natural light. Cleanly rooms and comfortable furnishings made our stay feel like home. The beds were plush and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The apartment's amenities were well-maintained and clean, which was a big plus for us (efficient and courteous room service as well) As a family-friendly accommodation, Melville truly delivers. The owners of the property, including the staff were very kind, welcoming and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. The location was also convenient for exploring the surrounding area (rock beach, manakula ganesh temple, aurobindo ashram along with very famous pubs and restaurants to hang out - all of these in a walkable distance from mel ville) Overall, our stay at "Mel ville" was a fantastic experience. If you're looking for a comfortable and family-friendly service apartment, look no further! Tips for Prospective Guests: 1. It was more than wonderful experience staying at Mel Ville. it's more like a home than a hotel. Host Anup ji and Mehek ji are the power couple who manages the entire property. Got a chance to try Sindhi breakfast which was out of the world. It's home cooked and you won't get it in any hotels. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Anup ji also helped us out with getting rental scooter at fair price, suggested several must visit places in Pondicherry. Also, Anup ji and family have a great resto bar Mel Whisk. Unlike other resto bars where there is only food and drinks Mel Whisk conducts several activities like kariyoki, bollywood dance workshop, live music which enhances the overall vibe. Highly recommend this place. If you are visiting pondicherry Mel Ville should be your default choice.
