Probably the most perfect vacation home we’ve ever experienced. You enter into a tranquil courtyard surrounded by greenery. The entire home, owned and designed by an architect, reflects that design influence. Unique lighting, high-end finishes, every detail is perfect. The views of the harbor are unmatched. There’s quite a story around the history of the place that adds to its character as well. The flat has a gourmet kitchen equipped for every possible need. Fine dishes, flatware, and crystal (not second hand cast-offs), separate fridge and freezer, dishwasher - everything. The bedrooms have luxury bedding, lots of pillows and super-soft towels. The bathrooms are all modern and function perfectly. Huge closets in every room, complete with two bathrobes. The hardest thing to do is decide where to eat: courtyard, formal dining, kitchen, or rooftop. A good problem to have! One of the best features: it’s full of LIVE PLANTS!! You never see this in a vacation home, and it’s such a nice touch. And not the allergy-inducing kind, either. We’re super-sensitive, and had no issues. Georgia is an incredibly attentive and communicative host. We’d say she attended to our every need, but we didn’t have any; it was that perfect.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Le Casa del Sal. My whole family was pinching themselves in disbelief that we got access to such an amazing apartment for our stay in Heraklion. The views are stunning and one of a kind. The apartment itself was remarkable architecturally. The beds were comfortable. The apartment and amenities were clean. The rooftop patio was a great spot for breakfast in the morning and to unwind in the evening. The host went above and beyond in not only helping us with dinner recommendations, which were outstanding, but also helped coordinate airport transfers and even a birthday cake for our special celebrants on our trip. If we are ever back in Heraklion, which we certainly hope will be the case, this apartment will be first choice... by a mile! Thank you for a memorable stay!!

I would not change a thing.

Our stay at La Casa del Sal in Heraklion was outstanding, even though the weather wasn’t on our side. The villa is in a perfect location, just steps from the harbor and close to everything—restaurants, shops, and historic sites. The interior was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace would’ve been amazing in better weather. What really stood out was the hospitality of our host, Georgia. She went above and beyond—planning a fantastic tour for us and always being available to answer our questions about Heraklion and Crete. Thanks to her, we were still able to experience the best of the city despite the rain. We highly recommend La Casa del Sal and would love to return again, hopefully with some sunshine next time!

Excellent location, overlooking harbour & Old Venetian Harbour. Apartment is gorgeous, immaculately clean, every possible utensils, well stocked larder including coffee and honey. Full Wifi access . Rooftop patio with lounge chairs & beautiful views. Georgia our host immediately available, helping with activity ideas. A quiet haven in a bustling city of Heraklion.

One of the best rental homes we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect....the view, the location, the host was very attentive, the home was well stocked with everything you would need. I wish we could have stayed longer.
