Royal Park Apartments

Location perfect for Bus Station, Supermarkets, Laundty, Car/Scooter Hire, Bakery around the corner, Bhat Buses, walking distance to beach and situated on a gated residential village with security. Spacious apartment with a roof top pool and loungers which provide a welcome relief from the heat.

I would like to suggest a few improvements 1) both bed linen, pillows, duvet and towels need replacing. Athough clean and changed on request for a small charge, the sheets had old stain marks and the towels are well overused and need replacing. The pillows and duvet had a stale smell and odour to them and although too hot to use the duvet, I purchased our own pillows. 2) The Apartment was in a poor state of repair with no grout in corner areas of the shower. Holes in the shower tiling that have not been filled in. Poor weak shower, that often is hard to secure in the wall attachment and falls out. Although a cold to tepid shower is pleasant when it's so hot, there was no consistent hot water. Cracks observed to bathroom sink. 3) The kitchenette area was sufficient but again an old, discoloured wipe down sponge should have been replaced for our arrival. Other than eating fresh bread and croissants from Bakery and using kettle we never used any of the cooking facilities. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, but a tefal pan urgently needs replacing due to loose peeling tefal which is linked to being carcinogenic. 4) The pool on 7th Top Floor and is a positive feature. Property's policy states pool opening/closing times, but it's not conducive to sleep when other residents are diving into the pool and switch the jacuzzi feature on during all hours late at night and into the early hours, this causes a vibrational sound in our room on thr 6th floor as the pool is situated within the ceiling space. 5) It is mentioned in the Policy about water and electric charges but be aware these can soon mount up over a period of weeks and will need Thai Bhat to settle the bill at the end of stay.

Slightly dated furniture, kitchen facilities ok but old The fact that you can’t pay with card cash only This was not stated at time of booking with booking.com, if I had know this at time of booking I would have stayed elsewhere as I had not budgeted for cash use for this accomodation.made my stay very difficult,

*VERY comfortable beds and not hard. *Nice and cozy balconies for the evenings. *approximately 10-15 minutes away from Walking street; Soi Buakhao and veach front. Very safe and quiet.

Site does not say they only take cash. Booking must fix tjis.
