Agriturismo Castello di Montauto

Bigger and better than expected. Large rooms, plenty of facilties. Fantastic views.

Bit of a walk to the swimming pool.

This was a magical stay. The views from the entire property are gorgeous and so worth it. A quick 5 minute drive into town and you’re in the thick of it as well. Corinna was so helpful and lovely, and the room was really well kept and decorated beautifully. Felt very authentic! There is also a house cat named Lupo who made us miss our own cat a little less too.

We had a fantastic week at the agriturismo, everything was perfect from the accommodation to the pool and staff. It’s a few minutes drive from San Gimignano and great base to visit Siena and Florence. The apartment was clean and spacious, the air conditioning it is noisy but didn’t bother me or my two young children. We will definitely return! Thank you!

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The place looks just as good as in the pictures and close to San Gimignano which has a great grocery store. Aircon worked well and a nice baby cot available. Perfect place to stay!

Beautiful location, great pool and host.

The aircondition was way to loud and made it difficult to sleep.

The setting and the pool were lovely and corinna was so helpful . Recommend getting a downstairs apartment as they get a sweet private outside area

The staff was friendly. The pool was beautiful and peaceful. They have quite a few lounge chairs as well. The apartment was spacious. The kitchen had all the necessary tools, etc. Parking is easy as it's obviously a very remote area.

The bathrooms(particularly one) had a bad smell. We told the staff. They came to investigate and told us to leave the windows open. The insect screens had holes in them which allowed mosquitos to come in. In the end, we just kept the bathroom doors closed to avoid the smell. They had two portable AC units that were very loud but functional. The washer is shared between multiple units. We tried to wash clothes a couple times(which is why we booked this place on our long vacation) but it was already being used(on 3h cycles). This was not very convenient trying to plan this as well as then leaving clothes hanging. In the end we ran it starting at 10pm and just traveled with wet clothes the next morning on check out.

It was so comfortable, it was extremely convenient and it had everything we needed. The pool is amazing overlooking the valley of vineyards and Corinna is super helpful. We will definitely be coming back!!!! We loved it at Castello di Montauto.
