Ghyll Rigg

We really enjoyed the property was behind the main street and it was clean and tidy.

We were so surprised there was no freezer in the fridge, which we've never come across before in any property we've stayed at during our travels around the world, and we use the freezer in every place we stay. One of us ended up sleeping on the sofa bed mattress on the floor, maybe time for the bed to be updated when you can clearly see the indents where people have slept. Whilst the location is great to the main street, the kitchen overlooks the back of a restaurant and there was plenty of noise with staff sitting outside smoking and talking, van and truck deliveries during the day and glass bottles being emptied in the bin during the evening. Better instructions to find the apartment would be appreciated.

The property is great. A real little home from home. All facilities are spot on, and it is literally on the doorstep for the village of Bowness. The sofa bed was a little worn out but the owners had this shared with us, so we doubled up some extra duvets on it. Otherwise everything is 100% recommended
