Very cute room and great location!!

Excellent communication from the host prior to my stay along with easy to follow specific instructions on how to get in (with pictures😊); I had the upstairs room, mini kitchen, comfortable bed and pillows, wifi, safe, tv, …everything provided. Only a short walk to the center of town and all attractions. For the price, outstanding value, and sweetest of all was the owner Jacob on site when I checked out to help me with my luggage as well as give me a parting gift of a hand painted cardinal as a souvenir of my stay. Such warm, genuine hospitality and generosity by Jacob who said the home has been in his family for generations and they want all their guests to have an amazing experience. I recommend you stay here if wanting a personable experience, clean and charming accommodation, while supporting locals. I would definitely stay again! Muchas gracias, Jacob and family!

The apartment is well located in San Miguel de Allende, convenient to anything one would want to see and do. I did not use the small kitchen area, though. If needed, there is a fan and heater and additional blanket. It's a bright room. Good wifi. Jacob with my principal contact and he is a huge asset / advantage for this property. He's hardworking, speaks good English and is willing to do anything to make your stay a good one. Excellent communication skills using WhatsApp.

The only drawback was, for this small apartment (separate from the other two) there is a rooftop solar water heater that did not function well. Sometimes the water was scorching hot for a couple of minutes and that was all, the rest was cold water. Jacob called a repairman who didn't solve the problem. But I managed.

The hosts are excellent, not to mention the fact that they are kind they are also on top of it. Would highly recommend it. I look forward to our next visit

It’s a simple but very clean, comfortable and well maintained place. The location is perfect.

Water pressure could be a bit more but probably it’s out of the control of the owner.

The good points: the location was great, just a few minutes walk from the central plaza. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and beddings were new.

There was no hot water in the shower - I managed to get 15 seconds of scalding water, then it was freezing and didn't warm up for the remainder of the shower. Strange, because the hot water works normally in the sinks. The room we reserved is described as an apartment - in reality it's a relatively small room with very basic furniture. The listing says each room has "a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area" - there's a small kitchenette, a table with only one chair, and that's it. The pictures are deceptive in the listing, which includes photos from all the different apartments as well as the rooftop terrace. However, depending on what room you choose you won't get what's shown in the photos. Our room didn't have access to the terrace, although to be fair, immediately after I booked the owner sent me a message telling me that (although by that time it was too late to find another place). The safe didn't work. The clock didn't work. The listing says "Each room includes a patio". Ours didn't have anything that you could call a patio - there's really no usable common space at all.
