Relaxed atmosphere, Host was friendly and helpful, let our family visit and use facilities including a family barbecue on Saturday evening. Spa pool and swim pool a treat.

It feels like you’re going to stay in someone’s home. (You literally are ). Take your shoes off when you go in and you’re not allowed in the open kitchen that The family are using. Our room had no lock on the door! There are four rooms upstairs and it’s the only one with no lock. The bathroom is shared between the users of all four rooms and that didn’t lock either. It did have a lock but it didn’t work and we tried really hard to get it to work. After sitting on the double bed for ten minutes a pair of black jeans were covered in pet hair. I accept the place is pet friendly but how did that much pet hair come off the bed if the room was clean? I went to sit on the chair by the window and was hit in the face by old manky dressing gowns. Were they for guest use?? Just yuck. The room really didn’t look like the room in the photograph was isn’t too much of a problem but just adds to the disappointment overall. We were not given our own clean towels. There were towels in the bathroom but in a bathroom shared with four rooms we didn’t want to use them. No information provided in the rooms e.g. how to connect to wifi, drinking water, emergency contacts, how to approach our hosts with our concerns. The swimming pool did look green and not appealing to get into . Also the property itself not locked at night (with our room also not locked) We left and didn’t look back. My daughters said the property has been sold and the owners don’t seem interested anymore from comments. If that’s the case, that’s not my problem. I paid for a holiday!

Going home

Superb location and actually so nice to have the place to ourself. The tent was superb so cosy and homely. The hosts provided milk and coffee ( thankyou ) in a little shed which I thought was cool. We loved the orchard and the animals. The hot tub was sooo needed after a long week and the views were really nice. I really felt a lot of effort had been made and personally we would have stayed longer if possible.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alex, Caren, and Ian were wonderful hosts! My fiancée and I had a great time — we especially enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi and making use of the amazing wine amenities. We felt truly welcomed and had a fantastic stay. Highly recommend!
