Lovely location, quiet. Walking distance to village. Owl hoot had all facilities. Pretty gardens

Perfect quiet location

This was a lovely little place, yes basic but real character, we were amongst the trees so remained cool despite it being hot. Real nice pub 20 minute walk away, the old red lion where staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice pint of 6x and directors.

This place is not for the infirm or anyone that struggles with steps, slope up to the entrance and then 1/2 dozen steps. The garden is also not enclosed so couldn't let our dog off the leash (he's still young and learning, first experience of sheep and pony) unfortunately our dog was ill which meant we had to come home early, started because he didn't travel well (he's on the mend now)

The primary reason for our visit was a trip on the Churnet Valley Railway, but we all loved it at the Owl Hoot and had a wonderful few days. Thanks very much

Nothing.....

Loved staying here, especially the outdoor bath which felt like we were at the spa! The location is brilliant and the local pubs have delicious food!

Unfortunately the owl hoot had a strong smell of damp especially in the bathroom. It appeared that the sink and surrounding areas were mouldy which left a musky smell throughout the place. We were also only provided with one toilet roll for 2 adults for 2 nights which wasn't enough :(

The cabin was lovely, with great wifi and tea and coffee making facilities provided. The outdoor bath was amazing and a beautiful bath bomb was provided. A birthday banner was displayed inside, which was perfect for our stay.

An individual parking space was provided, however would recommended bringing a small car if possible.

A really cute little lodge in a lovely location! It had everything required to be comfortable and to cater for yourself, as well as some bonuses such as a log burner in the corner! I'd definitely return! It's a great little spot for visiting Alton Towers!

Cosy & quaint. Set in a beautiful peaceful location. Surrounded by peace, quiet & nature. Idyllic.

There was nothing to dislike.
