Quinta Casa Do Quintal

It was a fantastic room with an amazing view. Our host went out of his was to help book dinners, provide port and make suggestions of activities.

There was a drain smell in the bathroom that was a little unpleasant.

This was the highlight of our trip around the Douro Valley. The service, attention and care we had at the Quinta was exceptional. The host Fernando is one of a kind, we loved everything. We got fresh figs and grapes on the room, and special wine of Porto, all complimentary goodies from the host. The room was pretty big, comfortable, renovated like fresh new. We loved this place. We got many tips for enjoying the region, including nice restaurants (Porfirio in Lamego), boat cruise 1-2 hrs, leaving the Cais of Pinhao and wine tasting visits on the popular wine houses around (Quinta da Pacheca, Six Senses, etc). We had a great breakfast in the Quinta, prepared with local fresh ingredients, natural juice and great local coffee.

The Quinta is great with a phenomenal view across the valley. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. What made the stay unforgettable was our host. He was very nice and provides help and tips whenever needed. He is also very proud of his own port and fruit which he happily shared with us.

We arrived on a very hot day and as soon as we entered the Quinta it was calm and cool - a perfect oasis. Our room had air-con and was large with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was generous and tasty. The views across the valley were stunning. Marques was fantastic providing us with freshly picked figs, organising wine tasting at very short notice and booking a table for dinner in Lamego. I could have stayed here for much longer than we did. We will be back!

The place is in a very beautiful location, super nice and comfortable vintage ge cottage with gorgeous views. The host, Fernando, was very helpful, and he was there for us 100%! We felt like home!
